MJ is Life
I had always liked Michael's music, but in years past I kinda considered him a joke. Im in my 20s, so my earliest memories of michael were probably between when Bad and Dangerous came out, which was when all of his bad press began to start. Unfortunately Michael was always kinda creepy to my generation, I guess. But I still liked his music. Then, about a year ago, I watched the five hour long movie on VH1 called The Jacksons: An American Family, or something like that. I was really sucked in to the movie and couldnt get the song "Human Nature" out of my head. So I went to the record store and bought the special edition of Thriller and Off the Wall. Thats when it really started. I was mesmerized by songs I had never heard, especially songs from Off the Wall. My love for Michael as well as my collection of his music developed very quickly over a few months. At first I just really loved his music, but then I started watching him on youtube, and found that Michael was IRRISISTABLY SEXY when he was younger. My favorite Michael stage is when he was with The Jacksons, from between 17-22 years old.Oh my goodness, he was so gorgeous in those polyester orange bellbottom suits and his shiny afro! He had and still has a beautiful bright smile that warms your heart when you see it. Now Im really into the Jackson 5 and the Jacksons. I recently just bought Destiny and really love the beautiful ballads. Michaels voice is so soft and smooth, but can also be strong and powerful. Anyways, I love his dance moves. I learned how to moonwalk, and now I can do it sideways and in circles! People around town at the bars know how much I love MJ and they always ask me to moonwalk for them. Every song I sing on Kareoke is either MJ or Jacksons. I must say, the Jackson 5 also really got me into the Motown scene which Im adding to my vast album collection. SO THANK YOU MJ, FOR TEACHING ME ABOUT MUSIC, DANCING, PERFORMING, AND JUST BEING PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO! THANKS FOR BRINGING SO MUCH LIGHT AND JOY TO MY LIFE THROUGH YOUR MUSIC!!!! -Queen B.
