Do I Know You?....Part 18
The next day at work dragged on. Hours and hours went by. I was getting frustrated and agitated. Michelle wasn't helping my mood either. Michelle: Can you fax this report.....and type this file.....and contact- Me: Not now Michelle. Michelle: Excuse me? Me: Sorry, i'm a bit on edge. Got a date tonight. Michelle: A date? With whom? Me: Michael Jackson. Michelle: Whoa! THE Michael Jackson!? Me: Yeah. He's taking me to the Motown 25th anniversary. Michelle: Oh that's so cool. When it hit 4:00pm, I got permission to leave early. I turned off my computer and yelled a quick "Seeya Michelle!" I ran out to my car. I was in a rush because a) I hate work and b) Rebbie will be at my place at 4:30pm to do hair, makeup etc. As the familiar thrumming of my car lit up, I heard an "Ange!". I turned the car off and winded down my window. Michelle: Ange, I know he's a huge superstar and whatever, but please be careful. Me: What do you mean? Michelle: Just take this for protection. (Hands me pepper spray) Me: Michael's as harmless as cherry pie. Michelle: Hm okay, but take this just in case. Me: Fine, thanks Michelle. I drove home and Rebbie arrived a while later. She was wearing a simple navy blue, floor length dress. She explained that my dress "isn't too nanna pants" and "isn't too slutty". I smiled and she put my hair up. She gave me a forehead fringe, which I wasn't too keen on. But I let Rebbie work her magic anyway. She gave me a soft make-up and even gave me a manicure. That's when I put on the dress and shoes. I looked like a fat whale, but Rebbie said I looked fabulous. The shoes only just fit, but they looked nice. Rebbie: What's that? Me: What's what? Rebbie: On your shoulder? That circle...Looks like a burn mark. Me: Ah.....it's not. It's a birthmark. (Yeah, sure) Is there any way to hide it? Rebbie: Hmm. She starts CUTTING the dress. I was about to protest when she started pinning stuff together. She had made it a side dress! I cried with delight. Me: Thankyou soo much Rebbie!! You're the best friend a girl like me could have!! (Starting to tear up) Rebbie: Oh honey, you're mascara's starting to run! I laugh and sit back as she starts again. 20 minutes later, the family arrives. I was terribly nervous, so I asked if Rebbie could answer the door. She giggled and opened the door to 10 curious faces. Michael walked in first. Rebbie: C'mon, Angie! Don't be shy. I walked into the room and blushed. Here is what the family saw: http://simply-flawless.webs.com/54966800.jpg To Be Continued.... (Hope you all liked it!)
