Five minutes later I received another text. Expecting who it was, I sighed and opened the message.

From: Mike
To: Jess

How's Leon? Are you two still together? I'm going to an interview today at That's Real! magazine. Wish me luck! :D

Love, Mikey.

I thought, "Oh, he must be getting a job interview here." and continued to type.

Michelle: Attention people! Michael Jackson will be doing a suprise interview here in half an hour and Lisa and Andrew are ill today. Can anyone, and I mean anyone!, please interview him for me? I'm due to be at a board meeting in half an hour!

A few of the cleaning ladies started jumping up and down and waving their arms. Michelle looked past them frantically. Oh no! She's looking at me!

Me: Umm....No.
Michelle: Oh pleeeeaaassee!! You're funny and really nice! I've got the questions here already, you just have to ask them! ......I'll give you a promotion!

Those were the magic words.

Me: Okay!

I brushed the cookie crumbs off my maxi dress from lunch. I fixed my hair and cleared my throat. I could feel my face going red already.
