Heartbreaker Part 1
Gabriel was sixteen, and a junior in high school. His long thin and beautiful black hair ran down to the middle of his back, a bit wavy at the ends. Gabriel tied it back into a ponytail as the art competition was about to commence. â??Alright, guys. You may begin,â? the instructor said. Gabrielâ??s art class was having a contest. The rules were, you could paint anything, and there would be a handful of judges to pick the best three. The paintings would be judged on creativity, insight, and depth. Gabriel chose to draw flowers. He chewed on his bubblegum and blew a big bubble, sucked it back in with air, and continued munching. He drew flowers of all types, all colors, scattered onto beautiful green grass. Gabriel loved flowers, and all the wonder they brought. He was one of the last to finish his painting. It took nearly two hours to get done, and by the end, his arm was getting pretty tired, raising it up for so long. But Gabriel wouldnâ??t stop until his painting was perfect. He really wanted to win first place. Outside it was raining after he finished. Gabriel frowned, sighing at the sight of the dim sky and falling waters. Now he couldnâ??t walk home and would have to call for a ride. Gabriel listened to Michael Jackson on his CD player as he waited for his mother to come pick him up. ************************************************** ******************** It was Michaelâ??s forty first birthday today. Like every year, his loving fans sent him loads of flowers, cars and other gifts. And there was that cake Michael always got from his fans also. Michael loved them so much, he waved down to them from his bedroom window and blew kisses, while they sent them back to him. Michael dreaded his forty first birthday. It meant he was actually in his fortyâ??s, and not just on the borderline between thirties and forties. â??Howâ??s it like turning one over forty?â? Michaelâ??s manager Frank asked him. â??Alright,â? Michael said. â??But I still feel very young.â? â??Of course, you always do,â? his manager said. That night, when all his fans were gone, Michael sat down to look at all what his fans had given him. Every year, there was always something new besides cards, pictures, flowers, and bears. One or a few of his fans would get very creative and give him something a bit different, which made the gift extra special to Michael. What he was eyeing right now was a large painting of some flowers. It was so beautiful. Stuck to one of the corners of the frame was a paper. Michael opened it up and read.. To: Michael From: Lynn Ha â??Woooww..â? Michael said. He picked it up and held it before him. The many colors made the painting so lively. It was almost as if the flowers were real, as if he could smell them. Whoever did this was an amazing artist. It almost brought envy into Michael, wishing his artwork was half as great as this painting before him. It was definitely going in his bedroom that night. Michael hammered a nail into his wall and placed the frame with the picture over it. The painting hung across from his bed, a great spot for it to be seen every morning, or just when he got in his bed in general. Michael took one last look at the painting before switching his lamp off and drifting to a nice peaceful sleep. "Hey Gabe, you coming to my joint this weekend?" Liam asked. Liam was senior who never hung up with Gabriel. Gabriel was a bit surprised that Liam came up to invite him a second time, much less speak to him again. Gabriel couldn't tell whether Liam was serious or just joking around with him. Either way, Gabriel couldn't go. "I'm going to a Michael Jackson concert," Gabriel said. One of Liam's friends, Chris, wrapped his arm over Gabriel's shoulder. "See that chick right there. You know Ashley, right? She's got her eye on you and she said she can't wait for you to come to the party." Ashley was one of the most hottest girls in school. "No she--", Gabriel heard Liam say, but then stopped in mid sentence. "Oh yeah, she did say that." Liam came on the other side of Gabriel, laying his arm across Gabriel's shoulders also. Now, he was inbetween both Liam and Chris and was very uncomfortable. "So you are in?" Liam said. "You don't want to miss a senior's joint do you?" Gabriel looked at Liam for a long time, then at Chris, who was a junior just like himself. "I'm going to the concert," Gabriel affirmed. "Who's concert is this anyway?" Chris asked, while unwrapping his arm from Gabe's shoulders. "Michael Jackson's" Gabriel said again. "Alright, we'll let you go this time," Liam said. "Can't blame the guy," he said to Chris. The two guys walked off, leaving Gabriel alone again. Gabriel had no idea what they were up to, why they were being so friendly to him all of a sudden. Sometimes, Gabriel wished he wasn't such an outcast. Just because he spent most of his time in the library, and because he never showed any interest in a girl, didn't give anyone the right to treat him any differently. He took off his black glasses, which he only wore when he read, and placed them back inside his case. He had tons of homework to get done this Friday night, so he won't have much to do on Sunday. Tomorrow was the Saturday of the concert and Gabriel couldn't wait. **** There must've been about a hundred ambulances outside at the concert. Gabe accidently bumped into a tall woman, about middle aged, through the crowds of people just getting to the stadium. "Oh! I'm sorry sweetie," she told him. "That's alright, mam," Gabriel said. She looked at him for a moment before turning around again. They ended up sitting beside each other in the stadium. "Oh, it's you again, cutie," the woman said, almost yelling because of the loud noise fans. "Are you excited?" "Yeah!" he responded, loud enough for her to hear him over the sea of fans. "How old are you?" she asked. "Sixteen." "You're such a cutie." She lips formed into a big smile of admiration. "Do you get that a lot?" Gabriel didn't respond. He got that sometimes, but not very frequently. "Sometimes?" she asked in a sweet tone. Gabriel nodded. The lady's attention drew away from him as her friend on her other side was telling her something. It was about thirty mintues they waited until Michael finally came out. Gabriel wanted to meet him so badly. Michael looked so amazing on stage, like a God. Gabriel never saw a man so in charge of anything more than Michael was in charge of the stage. Those small beads of sweat began to trickle down Michael's face, soon creating a lucious glow on his skin, especiall around his neck. And then came Gabriel's favourite performance, Dangerous. A sudden strange feeling swept through Gabe when Michael did a certain move on Dangerous. When Michael did his pelvic thrusts, it was like an electrical current was sent and passed along through every nerve in his body. It was probably just a reaction to another of his amazing dance moves. There was no way he was possibly turned on by that, like the girls. That electric feeling when Michael thrusted his hips, any guy could've gotten that. Anyways, Gabriel didn't know if it was just him, or his eyes were just so intent on Michael at that moment of his thrusts, but he could've sworn he saw it shooting forward like a rocket inside Michael's pants. It was so fast, it could have easily been missed. Gabriel placed his hand over his forehead. Why was he even thinking about all that? So what? He continued just watching Michael for the rest of the show, putting all his previous thoughts aside. When the show was over, Gabriel only craved for more, disppointed Michael had to leave so soon.
