Well, with me it was the same. I've known mj's music since i was very small...but just the well known songs. billie jean and dirty diana and smooth criminal were always my favorites. I too started listening to him more when i heard the newer version of his thriller album (i love the girl is mine with will.i.am)... and when michael died i was totally shocked and decided to find out more about him. i'd never heard a lot about him before 2007 or 2008...i just liked his music. i remember how my brother and i always used to rock to dirty diana when we were younger, that was sooo cool :) I'm just sad i didn't live in the 80's!!!
