Daddy, I Believe-Part4
Hey guys, it's Spencer! And here's Part 4 to: "Daddy, I Believe" Hope you guys enjoy (_) ----------------------------------------------------------------**************************************************************** (\/) (o.o) (")UU(") "Daddy, I Believe-Part4" ****************************************************************---------------------------------------------------------------- Did I just say that to my own father. I meanâ?¦I love him and Mama. But I would really love it if me and them were actually a close family. And not have me go back and forth from them all the time to them. I was silent to what my daddy just did. He has never used that tone with me. Not ever. Daddy: Abby...why would you think that? Me: it's just not how I think it...it's just that I know we're not the best family ever. Daddy: but me and mommy has tried our best to be parents to you. Me: Mommy has...or you? Cause the only family member I saw more of was Mama, Daddy. Daddy: Abigail, I've tried so hard to make you feel like you didn't have to be ashamed of what has happened with me and your mother. Me: I guess I'm not conviced yet, Daddy. Daddy: Carson...c'mon now Ca-- Me: did you just call me, Carson!? Daddy:..... Daddy knows good and well I hate that name! "Carson" yes it's one of my middle names. But it also the name of my mothers' mom, which I can't stand! She never liked me. So, I hate it when someone single handed calls me "Carson"! I rolled my eyes and walked away from him. He was fallowing after me. When I made it to my room, I slammed the door in my own father's face. I jumpped on my bed. I gotta week with my father...but if I'm lucky, maybe I could have more then a week like he did once when I was 2. I sighed and remembered my own words to him, "We're not the best family ever"...I know that...but it still hurt to even think of it. A few days has passed since the whole "Carson" thing. I was with Uncle Bobby out in the back. I was sitting in the Giving Tree while Uncle Bobby was sitting under it. Daddy was talking with Ziggy(PS: either it was Siggy or Ziggy...I have no idea lol). Uncle Bobby: you know, Abby, you can be a little more nice to your father. Me: I would, Uncle Bobby, but I just don't like how this family is right now. I've never liked how this family acts. It's like we're not even a whole family. Uncle Bobby: I tell you what, Abby, you may hate your family right now, but you have never acted this why towards your father. So he made a mistake calling you Carson. I called you Carson by the time you were 3 when you find out that she didn't like you. And you never once was mad at me. Me:... Uncle Bobby: the way I see it, you just need to go say sorry to Mike. Or, Abigail, you can be like your mom and see who caves in first. Me: you are always pullin' the mom card, Uncle Bobby. Well, it won't work this time. Uncle Bobby: (raises a eyebrow) will it now? Me: (sighs) fine, I'll be the bigger person and tell him sorry. Uncle Bobby: good girl. (starts walking away) Me: (leans back in the tree) But, I'll just tell him later. I was sitting in the Giving Tree for a long time when a song came into my mind. Mama sings it all the time at home. She says it's called "I Wonder". She said it was made in 1980(PS: I know Kellie Pickler made this song in 2006, just roll with me here guyslol) Me: (singing "I Wonder") Sometimes I think about you Wonder if you're out there somewhere thinking bout me And would you even recognize The woman that your little girl has grown up to be Cause I look in the mirror and all I see Are your brown eyes lookin back at me They're the only thing you ever gave to me at all Oh, I hear the weather's nice in California There's sunny skies as far I can see If you ever come back home to Carolina I wonder what you'd say to me I think about how it aint fair That you weren't there to braid my hair Like mothers do You weren't around to cheer me on Help me dress for my high school prom Like mothers do Did you think I didn't need you here To hold my hand To dry my tears Did you even miss me through the years at all Oh, I hear the weather's nice in California There's sunny skies as far I can see If you ever come back home to Carolina I wonder what you'd say to me Forgiveness is such a simple word But it's so hard to do when you've been hurt Oh, I hear the weather's nice in California And just in case you're wondering about me For now on I won't be in Carolina Your little girl is off Your little girl is off Your little girl is off to Tennessee When I was done singing, I heard clapping. I looked down and saw it was Daddy. I wonder what he has in mind because of this song. To Be Contined ****************************************************************---------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for reading guys (_) It means alot.
