When I fell in love with MJ
I was 14 when I fell in love with MJ. It all began when me, my brother and my parents went over to visit some friends on an upstairs apartment. Me and my brother were in their 3 year old daughter's room when I noticed the stack of tapes underneath the TV set. Me being curious began to look through them to see what movie we could watch. And then this HEAVENLY face was staring at me from the cover of Moonwalker. I was not an MJ fan but I did know of him and knew he had made some good music. So I stashed the tape underneath my shirt and me and my brother went next door to another friend's house to watch the tape. I was SPELLBOUNDED. The thing about Moonwalker is that it takes you on a musical journey from the time MJ was a kid to his BAD era so I got a chance to learn and appreciate a good portion of his life. To make a long story short I am 28 years old today and more in love with MJ than ever. I still keep all of the newspaper clippings I cut out, the old Black Beat and Right On magazines featuring him or any member of his family, and I just about bought EVERY music memorabilia I could find about him through ebay. I have All of the Jacksons old TV shows, MJ's 1984 interview at Encino sitting next to the water fountain and looking soooooo gorgeous, I recorded each and every apppearance he ever made on TV from comedy sketches to news bits and even the Martin Bashir interview. I think MJ is soooo special, and is a rare Gift from God and I am just so thankful that I was alive (and still am!) during his lifetime to appreciate this wonderful human-being. I love you sooooooo much, honey*
