*this goes to my sister Jalice, Kelly, Chris, and everyone else who likes my story. Love ya guys* 7months later Maria Carmen Wellâ?¦today is the day Iâ??m not the only girl in daddyâ??s life. Iâ??m not sure how to feel. Iâ??m happy and sad all at the same time. Iâ??ve been his girl the longestâ?¦and now thereâ??s gonna be another women in his lifeâ?¦can I take it? Oh, câ??mon Maria Carmenâ?¦donâ??t think thatâ?¦daddy still is going to see me as his little girl. I wiped my eyes from the tears that fell. When I got up my heart music box fell to the ground. I picked it up and turned it. I opened it and it started playing itâ??s soothing tune. (Me):*humming*la la la lalalalalalalalalalaâ?¦lalala (a/n:sorry I tried to make it seem like sheâ??s singing the lalas from Little Susie) I closed the box and got up. Why canâ??t I pull a smile on my face? I looked at the floor. Daddy said he made a song from when he was younger about a girl who died when he was 13 in 1972. I had to see the lyricsâ?¦so I took them from his room. He calls it â??Little Susieâ??. (Me):*reading/singing the lyrics* Somebody killed little Susie The girl with the tune Who sings in the daytime at noon She was there screaming Beating her voice in her doom But nobody came to her soon... A fall down the stairs Her dress torn Oh the blood in her hair... A mystery so sullen in air She lie there so tenderly Fashioned so slenderly Lift her with care, Oh the blood in her hair... Everyone came to see The girl that now is dead So blind stare the eyes in her head... And suddenly a voice from the crowd said This girl lived in vain Her face bear such agony, such strain... But only the man from next door Knew Little Susie and how he cried As he reached down To close Susie's eyes... She lie there so tenderly Fashioned so slenderly Lift her with care Oh the blood in her hair... It was all for God's sake For her singing the tune For someone to feel her despair To be damned to know hoping is dead and you're doomed Then to scream out And nobody's there... She knew no one cared... Father left home, poor mother died Leaving Susie alone Grandfather's soul too had flown... No one to care Just to love her How much can one bear Rejecting the needs in her prayers... Neglection can kill Like a knife in your soul Oh it will Little Susie fought so hard to live... She lie there so tenderly Fashioned so slenderly Lift her with care So young and so fair I felt tears roll down my eyes after I was finish singing the song. How could parents do this to their child. Itâ??s the ugliest thing I cold only see in my mindâ?¦see the child lifelessâ?¦how could they ever think she never had fear? I heard footsteps come up the hallway. I wiped my eyes. I looked like I was cryingâ?¦dang it!!! I heard a knock on the my door. I turned and saw daddy in his tux. He had a smile on his face. When he saw my face his smile faded. (Daddy):baby girl, whatâ??s wrong?*walks over and kneels down to me* (Me):oh, nothing, daddy.*wipes my eyes*Iâ??m just happy. (Daddy):baby, listenâ?¦I know you think Iâ??m replacing you with Jaliceâ?¦but no matter whatâ?¦your always going to be my baby girl.*kisses my forehead and hugs me* (me):*thinking*I know that, daddy. But I wish my heart could handle it. I love you and Jaliceâ?¦but I want my heart to understand that.*speaking*I love you daddy. (Daddy):love you too, baby girl. You look pretty in you braid maid dress. (Me):yeah. Jalice wanted Peach to be the color of the dress. (Daddy):she sure does love peach. (Me):I know. (Daddy):câ??mon itâ??s time to go, baby. (me):k.*looking down* A fall down the stairs Her dress torn Oh the blood in her hair... (daddy):what do you think of daddy singing that in the furture? (me):that might be great daddy. (Daddy):think so? (me):yeah. -at the church- Jalice looked so beautiful in her peach brides dress. I wished I can be a little happier then I am. Jalice was worrying. She told me maybe she should cancel the wedding. I was freaking out. I told her donâ??t do that. Everything will be okay. Even though I was sadâ?¦I couldnâ??t let them see me like it. My daddy or jalice. Jalice asked me to sing a song for themâ?¦I told her Iâ??ll sing â??Iâ??ll be thereâ?? from my daddy and uncles. It was time. I stood right beside Jalice and Emmueal stood right beside daddy. I was the maid of honor and he was the best man. Iâ??m 9 and Emmueal is 11. As I said before weâ??re 2 years apart. I had to keep my self together. The Rev. asked for them to give their vows. (Daddy):I take her more then thatâ?¦to be a best friend, a wifeâ?¦and a mother to my little girl. And I will honor and care for her till the day I day. I do. (rev.):Jalice your turn. (Jalice):as do Iâ?¦I take him more then a husband. To be my best friend. My love. And a father to Maria Carmen. I do. (rev.):well, by the power invested in me by the holy ghost and the holy spiritâ?¦I hear by pronouns you husband and wife. I saw daddy lift up Jaliceâ??s veil. Then their faces came closer and closer till they were kissing. Everyone was clapping. I was trying hard not to cryâ?¦donâ??t out of sadnessâ?¦but for happiness. I got the mic. My voice was breaking I knew it was while I talked. (Me):God has blessed me with so muchâ?¦my wonderful familyâ?¦my fatherâ?¦friendsâ?¦and everything else in my lifeâ?¦now he has blessed me with a mother. And I just wanted to sayâ?¦Jalice if you ever need meâ?¦Iâ??ll be there. The instermental started playing. I took in a deep breath. I didnâ??t know Emmueal was gonna do something. After we were done. Everyone was so happy. Iâ??ve never seen my daddy ever so happyâ?¦well with me heâ??s always seemed so happy. But now I guess with 2 girls in his lifeâ?¦his the happiest man to ever walk the face of the world. My heart has finally been lifted. Now Iâ??m happy.
