Music, Me and Michael Jackson (Part 3)
Hi here's Part 3 of Music, Me, and Michael Jackson. I know that youre upset that Michael isnt in the story yet but hes going to be in this part. ENJOY!! ------------------------------------------------------------------ I woke up the next morning at 6:45 (im an early bird i know!) and started getting ready for visiting Motown today. I was the only one up so far and i got dressed in a really nice outfit to give a good impression for the guys of the Jackson 5. 30 minutes later i see my older brother Johnny come in. Johnny: Hey are you trying to write a song the Jackson 5 or be their girlfriend? Me: Please, im only 11, not 13 like you are. Johnny: Ya whatever *rolls eyes* Johnny has had this kind of attitude since he turned 13 but i know that hes just going through some kind of teenage faze. Me: So why are you up so early? Johnny: i dunno. Me: Are you hiding something Johnny? Johnny: No i just...nevermind. Me: What? Johnny:Nothing. Me:Come on tell me! Johnny: Ok! Sheesh! I just wanted to tell you not to let those producers at Motown control you ok? Me: They wont! Johnny: mmhmm Whenever Johnny said "mmhmm" he really meant "ya right." So Johnny and I go downstairs for breakfast and we make some pancakes and bacon. When i go to the refrigerator to get some cranberry juice i notice a note on the fridge. "Rachel, Wake me up at 7:45 so i can drop you off at the Motown Recording Studio. Love, Mom" It was only 7:25 which meant i had to wake her up in 20 minutes. Johnny and me finish our breakfast and left extras for anyone else who wanted some pancakes and bacon. It was 7:44 and I head upstairs to get Mom. Me: *whispers* Mom its time to get up now. Mom: *sleepily* Ok honey. After 45 minutes of profreeding my song to make sure it was perfect for Motown and there wasnt any mistakes, Mom says that its time to go. Mom: Come on sweetie you dont want to be late its rude. Me: Ok Mom. My moms BIGGEST pet peeve was being late for ANYTHING. Shes always saying 'its better to be early than late" We start driving to Motown since it was a 15 minute drive from where we live in Encino, California. We make it to Motown and i tell Mom that she didnt have to come in so she gave me a kiss goodbye and drove back home. I was SUPER excited to meet the head honcho of Motown Berry Gordy and he seemed like a groovy person on the phone. I enter the lobby of the Motown Studio and i tell the secretary at the front desk that i have an appointment with Mr. Gordy. Although she gave me a "are you serious?" look she checked the schedule and let me right in. I knock at a door that goes into a recording room. Me:*knock knock* ???: Come in Rachel! Me: Hi you must be Berry Gordy! Berry: How do you do Rachel im glad to meet your aquantance Rachel, meet our writers Bob West, Hal Davis, and Willie Hutch. Bob, Hal, and Willie: Nice to meet you Rachel. Me: Its very nice to meet you as well. Berry: Will you hold on one moment Rachel? Me: uh huh! Berry: *turns on microphone in the recording studio* Hey boys i want you to come in here to meet the writer of your next hit! As soon as he turns off the microphone. The door, where the boys were recording there song that they were singing, opens and 5 guys walk in the room. My eyes grow very wide when i see them. They were a bunch of kids!! I didnt know that! Noone had even told me that i was writing a song for some teenagers! I thought that id be writing a song for a group of adults around the age of the Temptations or Gladys Knight and the Pips, not some kids around the age of the Osmonds!! (who i am dear friends with!) Berry: Rachel, meet the Jackson 5! Boys tell her your name and how old you are. Jackie you start. Jackie: Im Jackie and im 18. Tito: Im Tito and im 16. Jermaine: Im Jermaine and im 15. Marlon: Im Marlon and im 12. Michael: Im Michael and im 11. Me: Im Rachel and im ALSO 11. Michael:*smiles shyly and blushes* Me: Umm i think i left something when i went to the restroom will you excuse me? Everyone: Sure I exit from the door where i walked in and headed to the bathroom where i couldnt find for a couple minutes. I make it to the restroom and make sure noone is inside and i just look in the mirror for a minute and i start thinking to myself. "OMG how could i not know that i was writing a song for some teens?!?! Thats probably why Berry Gordy asked me to write the song for them cuz im a kid too. Geez that Michael guy is SO cute he probably doesnt even like me though i mean we JUST MET!!" I walk out of the restroom and headed for the studio. When i walked in i couldnt believe what i heard... ---------------------------------------------------------------- What did ya think? I told you that Michael would be in this next part will get better I PROMISE!! PLZ VOTE i want at least 10 bye!!
