EMOTIONS -- part one

Hi everyone! It's Gabriella again. Sorry I keep changing my mind but I've decided to start another story. Hope you all like it =) Pleasse vote!

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been in love with the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson. I love their songs and listen to their music every day. It is 1975 and I am 16 years old. I work part-time at a grocery store and I work the cash register. It was 12:45pm and I was already in a crappy mood today because I had just spent half an hour trying to help an elderly man pay for his groceries. It was the most frustrating experience I have had so far at this job.

Me: That comes to a total of $50.75.
Man: Did you know that I was in the armyâ?¦.
Me: Oh. Yes. That will be $50.75.
Man: We had to eat baked beans every dayâ?¦
Me: *sigh* Really? Wow. Now you have to pay $50.75.
Man: Do you accept War Veterans cards?
Me: *sigh angrily* No we accept money.
Man: What? I spent 2 years in the army and this is the thanks I get?!
Me: You know what?! You can have these groceries for free! You heard me. FREE!!!!

The man looked shocked and I felt bad for him but he just happened to push my buttons.  My boss looked at me with a disapproving expression.

John: What on earth was that?
Me: What?
John: You know what.
Me: Just being polite I guess.
John: Polite! You cost me $50!
Me: Iâ??ll pay for it.
John: Thin ice.
Me: Yes I know.
John: Now start tidying this place up. You want our guests to appreciate our store? Do you?
Me: What guests?
John: What? Havenâ??t you seen the posters? I told you yesterday.
Me: Posters? Yesterday? 
John: The Jackson 5. Remember?
Me: Oh!  I thought you were kidding! Oh my god!!
John: Clean up.
Me: Yes!!!!

So I spent my lunch break getting my hair done and redoing my make-up (lol donâ??t judge me, youâ??d do the same).  They were scheduled to be here to sign autographs at 2:00pm. I was selected to show them the back entrance and guide them to their seats. When it was 1:55pm, I went to wait out near the back door.
