I love this website and all your wonderful stories. I'm a new writer on here, my name is Arianna =] I hope you enjoy the story. ___ To fill you in on some stuff. Name: Destiny James Year: 1982 Age: 23 Location: Encino, California Body Type: Slim/Slender Ethnicity: Black/African/Cuban Occupation: Clothing store Cashier Today I woke up to a boring day, I needed a new job! It's about time I started searching for one too. Me and my friend Sierra were roommates, she and I put our money together to get an apartment. So now we live together. I brushed my teeth, took a shower, ate breakfast, got dressed and was out the door at 10:00 for work. When I reached, business was moving really slow. Only a few customers came in so that means my paycheck will be low. Ugh! I was resting my head on the cash register because I was so tired, and someone scared me when they came up to the register. The person was a man, he had on shades, a black hoody, with slacks and he was holding a few clothing. ???:Are you open? Me:Yeah, I-I am..(scannning the items)Cash or credit? ???:Umm.. Cash. How much? Me:That'll be $26.25. ???:What a rip off.. Me:I don't make these dumb rules,(whispering) I could give you a discount if you want.. ???:No need, but thanks.(giving me the cash) Me:Umm.. I can't take a hundred dollar bills.. I just started my shift, I'm sorry. ???:Oh, well then.. keep the change. Me:What! I can't keep this.. ???:Why not? Me:I just can't. Do you have a smaller amount? ???:Uhh..no Me:(raising an eyebrow)Okay.. then you can just go with your stuff. ???:You mean that? Me:Yeah, and besides I need a new job anyway..(sighing) ???:Destiny... right? Me:Yes.. how do you know my name? ???: Name tag. Me:(smiling)Oh. ???:You have a very beautiful smile.. Me:Thank you. ???:You say you need a new job, right? Me:Yes, most definitely! ???:(gives me a card) Me:I don't think I should take cards from strangers... ???:Well..I'm..errr.. Mark. Me:Okay.. Mark.(taking the card)If I'm interested I'll give you a call.. Mark:Okay, I'm out now. Thanks for being to kind.. Me:(smiling&waving)Anytime. Later that day... I was home from work around 5:00, I got in the house, changed and watched some TV. I was pretty tired.. Sierra:How was work? Me:Slow.. There was this guy in there named Mark, he offered my a job. I might consider taking.. it seems interesting.. Sierra:Oh. let me see? Me:(gives her the card) Sierra:Assisstant? To who? Me:(smirking)Read the back.. Sierra:Michael Jackson! OMG! Are you gonna call? Me:Maybe.. Sierra:This is a great opportunity.. say yes. Me:Uh, fine.. Sierra:So you're gonna call? Me:Of course! (grabs the card from Sierra)I'm gonna call now.(dialing the numbers) *♫RING♫*RI- ???:Hello? Me:Hi, this is Destiny James calling. Someone named.. uh.. Mark gave me a card to call this number for a job, I think. ???:Oh,(giggles)Mark, huh? Well we'll call you back to confirm if you're capable of getting this job, okay? Me:Um, okay. ???:Okay, goodbye. Me:Bye. I put down the phone and walked back to the living room where Sierra was. Sierra:What did they say? Me:They'll call me back. And you know that means they won't.. Sierra:(sigh)Well, why would .. whoever give you the card if you won't get the job. Me:I don't know.. I can just forget about that for now. Sierra:I guess. Oh hey, I'm goin' to a club later, wanna come? Me:Yeah, I haven't been to one in like for-ever! Both of us had took a shower, got dressed as people would dress to a club, and we waited till it was a little late and we were out the door. Later at the club... The music was loud, I started having fun at first, but then Sierra gotten drunk after like 2:00 am and I had work in the morning. I didn't wanna stay anymore! I found her and instead of her driving, I decided to drive us back. When we reached home, I brought her back in the house and put her to lye on the bed. She fell asleep, and I had no choice but to do the same. The next morning.. I woke up in my party clothing at like 8:00, and luckily I had enough time to clean up for work. I got in the shower, brushed my teeth, fixed my hair, made breakfast for Sierra and I, watched a little TV till it was time for me to leave. When I got there, it was kinda busy-ish, there were lots of people in the store. When it started to clear out, I fell asleep at the counter again because I didn't get enough sleep. Then here comes this random person scarying me again by banging on the desk. Me:WHAT!? To be continued.. =] How was this so far??? -Ari <3
