This Moment Forever - Part 3

The bar was empty and still had a remainder of smoke in the room form the previous people that were in the bar. 
Michael and Alexa sat in the far corner, Michael requested a drink to be served but no bartender.
(Alexa)"So what brings you to New York?"
(Michael)"Finding some new artists to work with for the upcoming album."
(Alexa)"Interesting."
(Michael)"Yourself?"
Alexa took a short sip of her drink and a deep breath.
(Alexa)"I've been staying here for the past 2 years, I live and work in New York now."
(Michael)"Do you enjoy it?"
(Alexa)"Not really."
Michael frowned and chuckled.
(Michael)"Why are you doing it if you don't enjoy it?"
(Alexa)"Pays the bills."
There was a long silence, Michael drank slowly trying to make the situation less awkward.
(Alexa)"So have you always been an asshole?"
Michael choked on his drink.
He laughed.
(Michael)"Excuse me?"
Alexa rolled her eyes.
(Alexa)"Cut the bullshit Michael."
(Michael)"Explain what bullshit I need to cut, will you?"
(Alexa)"I know you're hear with a woman, why else would you be buying jewelery."
(Michael)"Your point?"
(Alexa)"I know you're only buying me a drink so we can work things out and we can have a good old fuck."
(Michael)"You're being ridiculous."
(Alexa)"I'm the one being ridiculous? You're the one trying to kiss and make up when clearly you have a girlfriend and clearly you're still a player."
(Michael)"I've changed."
(Alexa)"You expect me to believe that?"
(Michael)"I only bought you a drink so we could talk and settle our crap out so that i don't struggle to get to sleep every night thinking of you and how I fucked up, alright?"
Alexa was silent for a moment, she wanted to work things out with Michael too but still felt embarrassed from what happened in the past and never wanted to face that humiliation.
(Alexa)"You're a joke, goodnight."
Alexa stood up and stormed out the bar.
Michael sat there and finished his drink, even though Michael hated to admit it at that point, he realized he missed Alexa.
