Inseparable: Part 5
Sorry its still boring. It will get better dont worry :) Dedicated to Michael, Richard and Darren. -Sarah Michael was just standing there with a hurt expression on his face. I didnâ??t know what to say or do I was just frozen in the same position as we were when we kissed. Lucky Marlon was there to cut the tension. Marlon: umm hey Mikeâ?¦I just walked Sarah homeâ?¦and uhh Michael: (looking down) save itâ?¦ He dropped my jacket, turned around and walked down my driveway with his head hung. I was going to run after him but Marlon held me close. Marlon: ill talk to himâ?¦ Me: but I need to say sorryâ?¦ Marlon: for what? Your friendsâ?¦you have the right to be with whoever you wantâ?¦ Me: your rightâ?¦but then again youâ??re his brother! Marlon: I know (sighing) well I better talk to himâ?¦(kissing me) Me: if he wants to talk to me send him overâ?¦I really donâ??t want him to hate me.. Marlon: I will (picking up my jacket and handing it to me) hereâ?¦ill see you tomorrowâ?¦ Marlon gave me one last kiss and left. It felt weird to think Marlon and I just kissed but I kind of liked it. He was kind, loving and a great kisser. He was almost as close to me as Michael but Michael and Iâ??s friendship was probably ruined now. I went into my parents to let them know I was home and then I went straight to my room. I changed into my jersey and laid down in my bed thinking of the day I just had. It went from Michael telling me he wanted to be more than friends to me practically rejecting him to then kissing his brother. I felt like a bitch but then again I do have feelings for Marlon that I never knew I had until that moment. Maybe this was meant to happen, maybe in a few years I will realise I took the right option and that Michael and I were just meant to be friends. All I know right now is that I got myself into a right mess and I hope it can be cleaned up. A year has passed and well what I hoped for happened. Michael forgave me for what he witnessed and Marlon and I have been together since. I am now almost 17 and Marlon is almost 19. Michael and I are still as close as ever and I almost spend more time with him than I do with Marlon. Today is our last day of school and Michael and I are sitting in class talking about everything and anything. He hasnâ??t really been dating anyone but as our conversation changes I discover he has his eyes set on a girl in our class. Michael: well iv only really started liking herâ?¦ Me: so what ask her outâ?¦I know she likes youâ?¦(smiling) Michael: how do you know that? Me: everybody likes you Mikeâ?¦(giggling) Michael: (blushing) well if she turns me down youâ??ll be sorryâ?¦ Me: oh yeah like youâ??ll touch a hair on my headâ?¦ill get Marlon to beat you up (laughing) Michael: you donâ??t even need to get him too, your strong enough (laughing) Me: ok now there she isâ?¦get off your ass and go talk to herâ?¦ Michael: what do I say? Me: ask her if she wanted to go to the movies some time or something and then get her numberâ?¦ Michael: oh man im nervousâ?¦you ask her! Me: (pushing him) boy just do it! Michael finally makes it over to Nicola and I can see them talking and smiling. I can see its going well but I cant make out what their saying. But I knew she said yes because she takes his hand and writes her number on it. Michael turns around and smiles at me and sits beside me again. Me: well? Michael: we are going to the movies tonight (smiling) Me: I told you she would say yesâ?¦ Michael: you have to come tooâ?¦ Me: huh? Michael: I need you there to give me advice and help me out pleaseâ?¦just tell Marlon to come so itâ??s a â??double dateâ?.. Me: Mike you do realise that I cant always be there for youâ?¦(laughing) what happens when your first going to sleep with somebody, are you gonna ask me to come and guide you through as well (laughing) Michael: well it wouldnâ??t be a bad idea (laughing) but seriously its only for this time, Iâ??ll be too nervous on my first dateâ?¦ Me: fineâ?¦ill call Marlon later and tell himâ?¦ The day flew by fast and finally we were finished school forever. It felt great walking out them front doors for the last time. Michael on the other hand was kind of sad, school was the only life he had other than performing. I just tried to cheer him up as we walked home. I kept reminding him of his date which took his mind off leaving school. Me: (walking to my door) okay so what time will I tell Marlon to call over? Michael: well im meeting her there at 6:45pm so make it 6:30â?¦ Me: k well ill see you there..and remember donâ??t dress up too much..a shirt and jeans is just fineâ?¦ Michael: gotcha (smiling) see you laterâ?¦ I walk in my door and down to my room. I fell out with my father since I started dating Marlon. He didnâ??t like the fact that he was 2 years older than me and well he liked Michael. He always thought Marlon was only after one thing but well we still never done it or brought it up. Katherine was so happy that I was with Marlon but always said she could see me and Michael getting married, clearly Marlon didnâ??t like when she said that. Joe still had no idea about us and everybody played their part in keeping it that way. He didnâ??t even know about me still hanging around there. I picked up my phone and called Marlon. Katherine picked up and she got him for me. Marlon: hey babyâ?¦whats up? Me: hi just letting you know we have a double dateâ?¦ Marlon: aw man you know I donâ??t like themâ?¦I can never act myself without you kicking me under the table or something (chuckling) Me: well we have to goâ?¦Michael is bringing Nicola to the movies and we have to go so he wont be as nervousâ?¦ Marlon: do I have to goâ?¦ Me: well im not being a third wheel so yes you have to goâ?¦ Marlon: what do I get in return? Me: you get me to still be your girlfriend (laughing) Marlon: fine but your staying here tonightâ?¦ Me: im guessing Joe wont be around? Marlon: nope hes gone for the weekendâ?¦ Me: how come I have to stay at yours every weekend? Marlon: well I would stay at yours but we cant sleep in the same bed or your dad will kick my assâ?¦ Me: (laughing) fine then ill pack a bagâ?¦oh and pick me up at 6:30..ok sweetie (giggling) Marlon: donâ??t sweetie me its not gonna make me go any more than I already donâ??t (laughing) Me: fineâ?¦see you in a whileâ?¦ Marlon: ok bye babyâ?¦ I hung up the phone and hopped in the shower. I done all the usual, brushed teeth, hair and I put on my casual clothes, skinny jeans, flats and zip up hoodie. I started to pack my bag up for staying at Marlonâ??s when my mother came in. Mam: where are you going? Me: im going to the movies with Marlon, Michael and his girl and then staying at theirsâ?¦ Mam: you better ask your father firstâ?¦ Me: im not talking to himâ?¦ Mam: you have to talk to him some day..heâ??s your fatherâ?¦ Me: well he dosnt act like itâ?¦ Mam: yes he does, heâ??s protective like any other fatherâ?¦ Me: fine but if he says no im going anywayâ?¦ I walked down into the hall where I met my father. Dad: where are you going? Me: Movies and then Marlonâ??sâ?¦ Dad: donâ??t be lateâ?¦ Me: im staying overâ?¦ Dad: aslong as your in separate beds then I donâ??t mindâ?¦ I didnâ??t bother answering him, I just walked down to my room, grabbed my stuff and went outside where Marlon was waiting for me, too scared to walk in. Marlon: (kissing me and taking my bag) all set? Me: yepâ?¦dad said in separate beds (smiling) Marlon: well tell dad no thanks (laughing) We left for the movies and arrived a few minutes late. We stood out and looked for Michael where he was meant to be meeting Nicola but to our surprise he was standing alone with his head down. To be continuedâ?¦.
