So Lovely (EPILOGUE) by Candice
Hey everyone. This will be the last chapter of SO LOVELY. In this chapter, since Candice is already gone, I will be writing from Michaelâ??s point of view. I know itâ??s sad and Iâ??m sorry if it had to end this way. I hope you enjoyed reading it and for this last chapter, I hope you enjoy reading it too. Thanks so much to everyone who took his or her time to read my story despite it being long. Cheers to you! â?? Candice :) EPILOGUE â??Candice! Candice!â? I started shaking her endlessly. She wasnâ??t responding. The machine suddenly blew out that long stationary beep that said she was already gone. She was still holding my hand but it wasnâ??t as tight. I took her in my arms and embraced her. â??You told me youâ??d fight for me.â? I was containing my tears as my brothers and my sisters were comforting me. The doctor and the nurse watched as I savored the last moment I had with Candice. â??Iâ??m sorry Mr. Jacksonâ? Dr. Walter said as gave me a pat on the shoulder. â??Sheâ??s safe now, Mike.â? Jermaine was beside me and he was next to Tito and LaToya. We were all silent and everyone was crying inside the room. For a moment, I felt warmness surround me then as if a quick breeze, it faded away. I kissed Candice on the forehead and whispered I LOVE YOU for the very last time. â??Iâ??ll never forget you. You are a very beautiful person and I regret that I wasnâ??t able to tell you that everyday. You set me free and you made me see. You helped me find myself through all this madness going on around me. I love you so much. Youâ??re loveliness knows no bounds and that my love for you will carry on forevermore.â? I felt her presence in the room and I knew that she was listening. I put her body down gently on the bed and kissed her one last time. â??Iâ??ll miss you.â? Those were my last words. I decided to leave the room and go back home. I didnâ??t want to see her lifeless body because I wanted to keep the memory of her alive and happy. Upon arriving home, it already felt so different without her tender touch, without her voice, her smell, her very being. I walked to the garden and I sat down on her favorite spot. I looked up to the sky and I felt a tear round up in the corner of my eye. â??I love you and thatâ??s going to be always and forever.â? I felt my tears rush down as I uttered these words. I felt the wind breeze through and I knew she heard me. I felt someone embrace me and whisper these words into my ears: â??Iâ??m supposed to be the one to thank you because you brought back one thing I thought I almost lost and that is happiness. Thank you, Michael and I love you.â? It felt like the wind was talking to me. As my tears continued to run down, I let out a smile. She wasnâ??t going to be here anymore but through the love and the happiness we shared, I knew that she was still alive. She may not be alive physically, but I know in my heart, my mind, and my soul, she is.
