A Daughter's Love -4-
???: Hey Ailynn! I had turned around and saw him Me: Hi Daryll (blushing) Daryll: Why are you blushing? Me: Who...Me? I'm not blushing Daryll: That's not what your cheeks are telling me He was such a charmer! He made me fall for him every second. Gosh! Why won't dad let me date? I really want to be with Daryll. He walked me into the gym, taking all of my stuff to my locker for me. He's such a gentleman! I finally got to the mat and started doing all of my flips- from backflips to handstands. I noticed someone was cheering for me. Daryll: Go Ailynn! It was Daryll! He kept causing me to bite my lip and blush some more. His charm is making me forget all about my problems with my dad. I finally snapped out of my Daryll daydream and finished up the rest of my practice. I saw Daryll running over to me with my stuff in his hands with his arms wide open. He's was coming in to hug me! Oh happy day! Daryll: (hugging me) You were amazing! Me: It was just practice Daryll: Doesn't matter...Everything you do is amazing There it was again. Only this time, he was smiling, causing his dimples and his pearly whites to pop out at me. It was official...I am so sprung over this boy! Daryll: Hey...You wanna go somewhere? Me: Where do you have in mind? Daryll: I was guessing you would like to go to the beach. How did he know that the beach was my main place of relaxation? Was he keeping tabs on me? Whatever it is he's doing...I like him even more for it. Dad's PV I don't understand why she keeps bringing up this topic. Every time I keep planning to tell her, she ends up pushing me to tell her that very day. Ailynn and i would eventually get into small arguments toward the subject. It's weird! It just keeps reminding me of those days when Gabby and I would argue over my career or sometimes even Ailynn. Those arguments practically lead her to her death. I miss her so much to the point to where it angers me. I've been a single father for seven complete years and nothing has really gotten better. I just feel like I need to talk to Gabby one more time. Me: Uhh...Bill? Bill: Yeah man? Me: Can you re-route to the cemetery? Bill: Sure thing... I feel like I just need closure or something. ***At the cemetery*** Her tombstone was covered in flowers. Most of them were from Ailynn and I. Just seeing her picture on her tombstone makes it even harder to get over the simple fact that she's not here anymore. Tombstone Here lies Gabriella "Gabby" Mendez Sunrise- July 29, 1959 Sunset- June 23,1980 A daughter, mother, sister, and friend "Te quiero más que ayer, pero menos que mañana"- We love you more than yesterday but less than tomorrow. After looking at her tombstone, it made me miss her even more. It started to she'd a few tears. I realized that now was the time to talk "Hi sweetheart" Nothing but the sounds of the wind filled the air. I just sat there...eventually talking again. "I really miss you. Ailynn wants her mother and she's counting on me to give her as much information about you as possible" I started to giggle. " She'a something else...She reminds me too much of you" I heard the wind again, thinking that it could have been a way of Gabby communicating with me. She knew I was listening! "Well Honey...I just mainly came here to say that I love and miss you". I kissed her tombstone and said my goodbye.
