Show Me What Love Feels Like Ch. 18
Enjoy! ---------------------------------------------------------------- *Recall: Michael and Misty share another intimate moment in the backseat of Michael's car on the way to Los Angeles. At seven o' clock am, an hour after making love in the car on the highway, we had stopped at a diner in this small county close to the Los Angeles area for breakfast. Michael was sure to put on his special disguise, which was a large mustache and special sunglasses. This was his favorite disguise for the public, and he usually kept it in his glove compartment. We had stopped in the diner's parking lot so he could apply on his mustache and his sunglasses. "Boy, I am hungry," he sighed as we walked through the doors of the diner. "So am I." We had sat at a booth, and althrough, Michael was looking around, making sure no one noticed him. "Michael," I said, as I looked up from the menu. "Yeah, honey?" "Why do you keep looking around?" "I just don't want anyone to notice me, that's all." "Mike, I don't think anyone's gonna notice you with that mustache and those sunglasses. If someone did notice you, our table would've been crowded with fans by now." Michael took a big sigh and said, "Yeah, I think I am overreacting a little." Just then a waitress walked to us to take our orders. "Hello. Welcome to the Clark Diner. What would you like this morning?" The waitress was young, bubbly, and beautiful. She was a Caucasian girl, looked about eighteen or nineteen, with green eyes and long chestnut brown hair. Her voice was very happy, bright, and inviting. She looked and sounded like everything that I wanted to be. "Um, I will have the number one with a large coffee, no whipped cream, and a large amount of vanilla, small hint of hazelnut," Michael answered with a big smile on his face. "Is that all you want this morning?" she asked with a flirty smile on her face. "Yes, that's all I want," Michael answered in his normal tone. I've noticed that the waitress had an interest in Michael. She stood, eyeing him heavily. A tinge of jealousy clouded me, and a hint of anger did also. She had no business to eye my man. She couldn't have him....But, I remembered just then that I was no better...But at that time, I was angry. "Ahem," I said, rudely clearing my voice, "Excuse me. You have someone else to serve here." Michael looked at me with such suprise of how rude I came off to her. I know I was very rude to the waitress, but I was angry that she was eyeing him and I was right there. "Um, I'm sorry, ma'am, what do you want to eat?" "A number six with an orange juice would be nice, please." "Um, ok. I'll be with your beverages in five minutes." The waitress walked away, clearly uneasy with my attitude. Michael was slightly angry at me. "Misty, what's your problem?" "What?" "Why were you so rude to that nice girl?" "Michael, did you see the way she was looking at you?" "Misty, please, stop all of the foolishness. Not today, please. That was very immature of you." I didn't respond. Instead, I took his words into thought. Maybe I was rude. Ok, I know I was, but I mean, she kinda deserved it. But, overall, she didn't. Again, I wasn't any better. Five minutes later that same waitress arrived with Mike's coffee and my orange juice. She came back as the happy waitress just as before. "Here ya go," the waitress said, handing me the cup of orange juice. "Thank you. Hey, I just wanted to apologize for my behavior." "It's ok, Miss. I'll be back with your breakfast in five minutes." "Thank you so much," Michael said as she walked away. "I'm glad you apologized, Misty." "Me too. I didn't feel right for how I was acting. I'm sorry for being so immature." "Ah, that's alright. We all get like that once in a while." After the waitress handed us breakfast and after eating, Michael and I left her a tip and then walked out, but with a little twist. "Care to hold my hand as we walk to the car?" Michael asked, holding out his hand. "Sure," I said smiling. I grabbed his hand and we strolled to the car with our bodies close, like infatuated high schoolers, just as we did at the beach. There was no one in sight as we walked holding hands...but that was what we thought.... A day after our stroll to the car, I sat out in the balcony in Michael's condo as he slept quietly in our bedroom, when the phone rung. "Hello?" I asked over the phone. Come to find out, it was my old friend from Detroit who I haven't heard from since I was last there. Her name was Tyra Carmichael. (NOT TYRA BANKS!! lol) She sounded like she was in a rush or as if she was out of breath, like she was dying to tell me something, something important. "Tanisha? Girl, it's me Ty (her nickname). Remember me, Misty?" Tanisha is my biological name; the name I was born with. Tanisha Lynnette Ravens. At age eight, all of my family and friends started calling me "Misty" because I have misty eyes. At age twelve, "Misty" became my new official first name. "Oh my God, Tyra! How you doin'?" "Girl, I just saw you on ET (Entertainment Tonight). I ain't playin, cuz. Forreal, check dis shit out!" "Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm on tv?" "Yeah, girl, check it out for yourself. Girl, you ain't tell me you bangin' Michael Jackson." "Wait..how did you know that?" "Girl, just look on the news!" In a panic, I quickly turned the television, where I saw Michael and I holding hands when we left the diner the previous day and what was worse was that they have footage of Michael and I myself in the car on the edge of the highway, making love in the backseat. I was horrified, worried, and my heart fell to the floor. "Oh. my. God," I said to myself as I stared at the screen with horror. "Girl, you got it goin' on!" Tyra exclaimed over the phone. I could barely say anything. My mouth went speechless. "Hey, can you ask this question, Misty? Is he good at bangin'? Cuz in dat video, he look like he givin it to you REAL GOOD!" Out of the tremendous shock I was in, the phone slipped from my hands and onto the floor. I had a meltdown. I was left on my knees by the couch, sobbing like there was no tomorrow. ....... TBC...
