SkyScraper: Part 8-Part 1
Hey guys! It's been forever since I even thought about writing this story. Well...I just thought about it. haha. Anywho, I actually missed trying to get this story done and I really wanted to make it to where I can finally finish it. So...my other story is going to be on hold for right now till I get this story over with. That may be awhile though hehe oh, well lol. Well...We all know Anais left, but that never means that she is out of the story for good. You gotta read more into this story as it goes on. Also there shall be twist in this...just trying to make it interesting. It may not be the best story, but like I've said before I just write because I enjoy writing them. Now in this part of the story, it's 1999 and I'm not sure if there was a Grammy or an Osscar Award at that time where Michael was present. Maybe there was, I just didn't know about it at the time. So...Prince would be 2 and Paris would be 1.(: also...um Anais would be 23(I think) and Michael would be either 40 or 41. Also, I know the songs "Somebody that I use to know" by Geyote ft. Kimbra and "Skinny Love" by Birdy wasn't made yet, just roll with me please. Also, a new character is added to the story Thomas Greene and some of the old characters come back as well. Well...I've said enough, here we go((: ---MaryCait ================================================================================================================================ Part 8-Part 1 "So Mike, you ready for this awards?" Janet asked her brother, coming over fixing his tie. "I swear Michael, I have no idea how you can't tye a tie right." Michael rolled his eyes as his sister tried to fix the mess of a tie he had around his neck. Janet must have saw because she pulled the back of the tie down far enough for the little knot in the tie to hit Michael's neck. Michael gave a chocking noise as Janet fixed the tie right so it wouldn't choke him. Michael looked at his little sister sternly. "Not funny," he rubbed his neck while saying that. "Well, your fault." Janet said while leaving out of Michael's room. Michael sighed as he walked behind his sister. He couldn't believe he was nominated for an award. He wasn't so big on getting them, but it felt great when he recieved them. Janet, Michael and Jeremaine hugged their mother as they started to leave. Michael kissed and hugged Prince and Paris both before he left, he couldn't forget his babies. Debbie was there as well. Her and Michael smiled at one another as she joined the three Jackson siblings before leaving. Katherine Jackson was watching her grandchildren for Michael while they went to the Grammies. She made sure to watch it on the TV show Prince and Paris can enjoy it as well. She just knew this would be the best night in Michael's life. ****** In the limo, Janet was looking over the paper she had recieved about the grammies and the nominies. Jermaine and Michael were playing the "I have never" game. Debbie was just looking out the window while she ran her fingers through her blond hair. "Michael, that's not even fair!" Jermaine called out. "It is too! Now put your finger down." "No." "Jermaine!" "What are you two fighting about?" Debbie asked looking away from the window to look at Michael and his brother. "Mr. Big Head here did a trick on me with this stupid game." Jermaine admitted. "Did not." Michael protested. "What he do?" "I didn't do anything!" "Michael, lets hear what Jermaine has to say in this." Debbie told Michael sternly. Michael and Debbie both stared at each other strongly for a few seconds till Michael folded his arms and looked forward from h im. Big baby he is acting like, Janet thought as she rolled her eyes and continued reading the paper. "Okay, Jermaine, what did he do?" Debbie asked, rolling her eyes at how she saw Michael. "Alright," he started. "Michael here had to asked: 'I have never had a groupie spend the night in my room' and then he got me out!" "Cause atleast I'm not the idiot to HAVE a groupie in my hotel room!" "Mike, I beleive Debbie was talking straight to me!" "Well I'm cutting in to this straight talkin'!" "Okay, okay-" Debbie said, trying to calm the brothers down. "Who the hell taught you this game anyways?" Janet looked at the names on the nominies and under Michael's name, it was a familiar name. Anais. "Hey Mike, isn't Anai-" Janet said, but was cut off by... "Oh, look!" Debbie said smiling. "We're here!" Michael turned to his sister. "Sorry Dunk, what were you asking?" "Um...nothing. It's nothing bro." Janet said folding the paper up and putting it in her purse. "Ya sure?" "Oh, yeah." "Jan-" "Lets go Mike!" Janet said getting out of the limo fallowing behind Debbie and Jermaine and into the crowd of screaming fans. Michael sighed as he fallowed behind, hoping no crazed fans pulled on him seeing as how tightly they were outside. He loved his fans, he just didn't want to be grabbbed on at the moment. All four of them, with help from the bodyguards, dashed quickly inside where the grammies were taking place. ******* "Now, before we EVEN get this started with," The man at the Microphone said. "We have two performers who would like to share their talents. They already have a song together, they are new also and they will blow you away-" "I wonder who these guys are." Debbie whispered the three she was with. "Yeah, me too." Michael told her smiling. He turned back to the stage smiling as the crowd went wild. He saw a young boy around in his 20s. He was well built, had mocha colored skin with swirly hair. He had brown eyes and was dressed in a white suit with a pink undershirt. He looked like a well cleaned guy. "Now give it up for him, and his beautiful lady friend." The speaker said as he got off of the stage allowing the boy his time on stage. The music started and the boy started singing, "Now and then I think of when we were together Like when you said you felt so happy you could die I told myself that you were right for me But felt so lonely in your company But that was love and it's an ache I still remember You can get addicted to a certain kinda sadness Like resignation to the end, always the end So when we found that we could not make sense Well you said that we would still be friends But I'll admit that I was glad it was over But you didn't have to cut me off Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing I don't even need your love, but you treat me like a stranger And that feels so rough No, you didn't have to stoop so low Have your friends collect your records And then change your number Guess that I don't need that though Now you're just somebody that I used to know Now you're just somebody that I used to know Now you're just somebody that I used to know" Michael and his crew were all sitting there enjoying what was going on in front of them, Michael's smiled faded as a young girl in her 20s also walked on stage. She had long black hair that was curled, sea green eyes, pale white skin, and was wearing a white dress and white shoes. As she started singing, her voice was so soft but yet powerful. "Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over But had me believin it was always something that I'd done But I don't wanna live that way Reading into every word you say You said that you could let it go And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know-oh-oh" They both started singing the rest of the song together. "But you didn't have cut me off Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing (oh) I don't even need your love, but you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough (oh) No, you didn't have to stoop so low Have your friends collect you records And then change your number (oh) Guess that I don't need that though Now you're just somebody that I used to know Somebody that I used to know Somebody (now your just somebody that I used to know) That I used to know Somebody that I used to know Somebody (somebody) That I used to know I used to know That I used to know I used to know Somebody" As the song ended, they both hugged each other cross the shoulders smiling as the crowd went wild with them singing. Michael, Janet, Debbie and Jermaine couldn't help but clap along with the crew as well. Once the crowed stopped and settled back down, the boy let go of the girl to walk over to the piano that was standing on the edge of the stage. The girl walked up to the microphone and as the boy started playing, she waited for her cue to start singing. This is what she sung: "Come on skinny love, just last the year Pour a little salt, we were never here My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my Staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer I tell my love to wreck it all Cut out all the ropes and let me fall My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my Right at the moment this order's tall And I told you to be patient And I told you to be fine And I told you to be balanced And I told you to be kind And in the morning, I'll be with you But it will be a different kind 'Cause I'll be holding all the tickets And you'll be owning all the fines Come on skinny love, what happened here? Suckle on the hope in light brassiere My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my Sullen load is full, so slow on the split And I told you to be patient And I told you to be fine And I told you to be balanced And I told you to be kind And now all your love is wasted Then who the hell was I? 'Cause now I'm breaking at the britches And at the end of all your lines Who will love you? Who will fight? Who will fall far behind? Come on skinny love My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my" The crowd went wild again as the speaker came back on and hugged the young girl, waited for the boy to come over and hugged him as well. He got in-between them and grabbed their hands, raised them up in the air and brough them down as he bent over so they could take a bow. With a laugh the girl started walking off stage to her seat, the boy fallowed. "How about that?" The crowd went wild then settled down as he continued talking. "Alright everybody. The smooth looking dude in the white happens to be new singer in the place Thomas Greene. Give him some love." The crowd went crazy cheering. "And the sweet looking girl beside him happens to be sweet, cheerful Anais!" Everyone went crazy as they said her name and she stood up waving to the crowd of people who came to watch the grammies. She giggled some as she sat down. She had no idea, familiar brown eyes were watching her from afar. "Anais..." Michael said, feeling someone grab hold of his hand. He looked to see Janet was the one to do it. Michael swallowed hard as they bothed turned back to the stage. Michael was sure this was going to be the longest night he had ever had. ================================================================ I hope you guys liked this chapter. I know it sucked big time but I couldn't think of anything really...so here it was. I'll try to have the next chapter out soon.
