Tough Love Part 20
I really hope yâ??all enjoyed the last part! Well, hereâ??s the next one to â??Tough Loveâ?! @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Chapter 20 Meeting ↑ With Foster Sylvers I woke up, not wanting to meet up with Foster because it seems like all Iâ??ve seen was guys for the past two days. Either way, I was on the bus, on my way to Watts, L.A. Looking at my watch, I was about a minute behind. I was yawning when I saw Foster walking with a huge stick in his hand. â??Why are you so quiet?â? He asked as we were eating the food he brought with him. I shook my head. Then after a while, I told him my dilemma. â??One guy kissed me, and another might like me. THEN, I had to tell another one to leave me be. Whatâ??s wrong with me, Foster?â? â??Well, for one, you donâ??t like me like you used to.â? He said as he snatched a pickle from my burger. â??And youâ??re not happy with you. Thatâ??s all I can tell you.â? â??Well, do you still like me?â? â??A little. I really wanna kiss you right now, you might kill me, so I wonâ??t rush you.â? â??Hey, you donâ??t have to worry about rushing me because I donâ??t plan on it.â? â??Ya see, see what I mean?â? â??Yeah, I do.â? I said laughing. â??So, have you seen any girls who have caught your eye?â? â??Other than you, maybe. Iâ??m just hoping that my group will someday surpass the Jacksons.â? â??I donâ??t know about that. Theyâ??ve sold many more records.â? â??I know that. Plus Michael has your attention unlike I do.â? â??How do you know that?â? â??Because remember how I was your backup Michael?â? I paused, thinking. For a second, I thought he knew I knew Michael. Well, of course that would make sense if I knew his sister!â? â??I mean, thatâ??s not true. Youâ??re still a cutie! Iâ??m just trying to stay on boy-probation.â? â??Who made you do that?â? â??Myself.â? Then I smiled, happy with my bravery. â??Promise me youâ??ll stay in contact.â? Foster told me. â??Definitely, bro!â? I said. â??Weâ??ll be on American Bandstand sometime, so I should remember to let you on set with us.â? â??Cool, that will be fine.â? I said while smiling. Foster hugged me TIGHTLY right before my bus showed up. â??I donâ??t wanna let you go.â? â??You gotta.â? I sorta whispered. â??And I REALLY appreciated all youâ??ve done for me.â? I slid my arms from his waist, and kissed his cheek. â??Thanks again.â? I said. â??Youâ??re welcome.â? As I was waving bye to him, I realized I didnâ??t have too much of a fear though I was in Downtown L.A. by myself. Iâ??ve been through so much, so I thought I could at least handle this on my own. I got back at home after four. My dad and Michael were chopping up apples in the kitchen. How odd, I thought, giggling in my mind. â??So how did your little fling go with your old friend?â? â??Who, Foster, oh it was fun.â? I said, laughing. â??Oh, and hereâ??s the good thing: I didnâ??t kiss him! Only on the cheek so I could be polite. I feel that Iâ??ve done enough, so I took the highroad and did the right thing.â? â??Good for you!â? he said, beaming. â??You guys need help?â? I asked. â??Sure, you can try. Weâ??re trying to make a fruit salad.â? â??Well, I guess so.â? I mumbled. Actually, the salad turned out great! Especially with our caramel syrup. I was in the kitchen, reading-slash-baking that red velvet cake for Shaun. Gosh, I know she helped out, but my dad have me breaking my neck to â??make it upâ? to her. â??Hey, Lyric, since you were out with Foster, did you mention to him the masquerade ball?â? â??No, it didnâ??t even cross my mind.â? Well, thatâ??s not one-hundred percent true because I remember when I wasnâ??t talking, I thought about it, and knew I could, or SHOULD tell him. But I didnâ??t feel I wanted to go with him. This would be something different and special for me, so I knew I wanted to go with someone special to me. Though I knew I could depend on him, I didnâ??t want to go with Foster because he was convenient. Iâ??ll only be dragging out feelings that arenâ??t there. And I couldnâ??t help but think this: if my dad hadnâ??t decided to go with Shaunâ??the woman Iâ??m cooking for RIGHT NOWâ??then he wouldnâ??t have to worry about me asking around. I mean, what kind of father is that?! â??Thereâ??s a ball?â? Michael asked as he walked in the kitchen after Dad. â??Yeah.â? I said. â??Ooh, when is it supposed to be held?â? he asked with much enthusiasm in his voice. â??Um, I think on Halloween. But what day is that?â? I asked, turning to my father. â??I believe a Tuesday this year. But the thing will be held on a Saturday, so I donâ??t know if itâ??s still going to be Halloween.â? â??Great, it doesnâ??t work out in my favor at all!â? I said. â??Are yâ??all going together?â? Michael asked my father. â??No, thatâ??s why Iâ??m bugging Lyric to ask someone so she doesnâ??t go as a loner.â? â??If I donâ??t have anyone to go with, then Iâ??m just not going at all.â? Before I could even finish my sentence, my dad interrupted me. â??Aww, yes you ARE going either way. I didnâ??t pay over twenty dollars for you to just waist them. Youâ??re going with someone!â? â??Hey, if anything fails, I could go with you.â? Michael said. â??No, just let Randy go with me.â? I said with a sarcastic smile. In a way, that was payback for him escorting me tom y party, instead of the obvious choice: Michael! â??You know what, thatâ??s a smart choice!â? he said, heading to the phone. â??No, I was only joking!â? I said. â??Why donâ??t you want to go with Randy?â? My dad asked me. â??Yeah, why now with my brother? What, youâ??re too good for him?â? Michael asked jokingly. My dad looked over at him. We laughed at his expression. â??Iâ??ll think about it.â? I said. â??Thatâ??s what you always say.â? My father said. â??No, itâ??s true.â? I said determination in my face. Once again, he threw his arms up in the â??I Surrenderâ? stance. â??Alright honey, I believe you.â? He said. **************************************************************** Never knew part 20 would be like this. This part is much shorter, and maybe even better in your opinion. Keep voting becose itâ??s supposed to be getting EVEN better. Luv Aariyan. And Happy Birthday Randy!! Canâ??t believe youâ??re 50 now. God Bless All Of the Jacksons. P.S. The title is â??Meeting Up With Foster Sylversâ? and of course the arrow is supposed to mean â??upâ?.
