SkyScraper: Part 4
Hey guys! :D Here is part four to my story. I hope you all like it!!! XD Love, ~Mary Cait ---------------------------------------------------------------- Michael looked into the sea green eyes of a black-haired girl around sixteen-years-old. He noticed, he had to move his neck some to actually figure out her eyes were sea green...her bangs were covering them a bit. She had almost a model like figure for one so young. He also had to admit, she was very attractive. He gave a soft smile, but it vanish as he saw her face wasn't really happy about him holding the book in his hands. Michael looked down to the book, then back up to the young child in front of him. "Oh, I'm sorry...is this your book?" Michael asked, handing over; his question was answered when she snatched it out of his hand and held it close to her chest. Michael didn't get mad, like most would, he just smiled and patted the place beside him. The young girl looked confused. Michael rolled his eyes playful and continued to pat the place beside him. The young girl seem to have gotten what he wanted her to do and sat down beside him. She sat down, her hair covering her pretty face. Michael reached out and gently brushed her hair back. He would rather enjoy looking into the face of such a lovely person such as this young lady before him. He notice her cheeks blush a heavy shade of red when he had done that. He giggled slightly at her. "There's no need to be shy around me, um, Anais...is it?" Michael asked, yerning a slight nod from the quiet teen. "You can talk to me you know? I don't bite." Anais felt a small smile forming on her lips as he said that. She placed her notebook in her lap, never loosing her grip and looked straight at Michael, smiling a real smile for once in her life. "I know you won't bite Michael." "Ha-ha," Michael laughed, making the young girl do the same. "cause if you didn't speak up soon, I might've had to bite you." The girl's eyes grew wide. What he serious!? Michael saw the look in her eyes. He raised his hands out in front of him, showing her he was only kidding. "Really?" Anais asked, making sure he was telling the truth. "Yes." Michael assured her, showing off his brilliant smile. "Okay, ha-ha." Anais said smiling with her eyes close. One question dawned on her though. "Michael?" "Yeah?" "What are you doing out here, if your suppose to be in there with my aunt?" "Well...I just needed to get away from her." Michael admitted. "She kinda started getting into my discomfort zone really." "Yeah...she can do that." Anais told him, feeling his pain. She couldn't count how many times her aunt has made her feel that way, cause it was too many times. "What was it about?" "She started asking questions that it would be okay to do in the interview in a few days." "Like?" "Why my skin changed it's colors..." "Oh, God!" Anais huffed at what he said. Of course, she goes for the low blow! "Yeah..." Anais took Michael's hand, making him turn to face her. "Whatever she ask about you Michael, just tell her everything you feel inside alright?" "You know," Michael said smiling. "you're not like the others who work here." "Yeah." Anais said. "I respect people...you got to wait till my friend Dennis. He's a sweetie." "His he-" "Gay? Yes." "Oh, alright." Michael smiled. "Does that bother you Michael?" Anais asked, her head titled to the left. "No, no, no!" Michael said franticly. Anais gave a big fit of laughter. She looked at Michael dead in the eyes still smiling big. "I'm just joking around with you Michael." "Y-you sure?" "Ha-ha, yes!" Anais clutched her stomach laughing so hard. Michael tried to keep a straight face as she continued to laugh at him, but he found it so hard to do while she was laughing like she was. Michael couldn't control himself and started laughing his self; who could blame him? It was a bit silly of him to panic like he did! Both continued to laugh until Michael heard what sounded like Natalie calling him back into her office. With a heavy sigh, Michael excused himself and made his way back to the office. Anais smiled and went back to her desk, happy that she got a chance to talk with Michael. He was such a sweet and caring person. She looked down at her notebook and started writing yet again, something she held inside since the age of two. ~***~ Michael rested his chin in the palm of his hand has his assistant Corey and Natalie talked about the interview in a few days. His eyes blinked opened and closed from trying to stay awake. This meeting was just so awfully boring to him. He didnâ??t much care for interviews reallyâ?¦but who could blame him? Having to do this since you were a small kid till now that you are in your thirties? I guess itâ??s worth itâ?¦right? Who knowsâ?¦â?¦ Those brown eyes of his came across something that looked to be a sticky note from one of the workers. Looks like Natalie had tried to throw it away. Michael reached over and picked it up from the trash bin and read it to himself, low enough where Corey and Natalie couldnâ??t hear it. â??Remember, Natalie, your only nieceâ??s birthday is on the 29thâ?¦oh, look! The same date you booked the interview with Michael? Wellâ?¦as far as Iâ??m concern seventeen years ago from two days now on March 29th, 1976(I messed up on part 2 \_\ my bad)â?¦your niece was born! So you should stop being a bitch and celebrate her birthday for once in a while! -Dennisâ? Michael was amazed at how low Natalie actually was. She was just in it for the moneyâ?¦but what could he do? He already agreed to thisâ?¦and he wouldnâ??t want to disappoint anyone who was going to watch it. But he was surely going to talk to Kelly later about all of this. Maybe she could tell him what to do about Anais. â??Michael, does that sound alright to you if we ask about Bubbles and my niece?â? Natalie asked, interrupting train of thought. â??Oh, yes.â? Michael said smiling when she mentioned her niece to him. â??That sounds fine to me.â? â??Alright,â? Natalie said, closing her computer down to head home. â??I believe weâ??re done here now. I shall see you on Tuesday Michael for our interview.â? She out stretched her hand for him to shake. Michael told her his goodbyes while shaking her hand, giving her a light hug and walked out of the office with Corey. He looked over to see Anais writing something down in her notebook. He knew it was wrong, but maybe he could get a sneak peek before- â??Come one lover boy!â? Corey said pulling him into the elevator. Michael was busy straighten his clothes that Corey had wrinkled when she had pulled him into the elevator. He turned to her with stern eyes. â??What the hell was that for!?â? â??You like little miss Anais, donâ??t you?â? Corey asked, her arms folded over her chest leaning smoothly against the elevator doorâ??s wall. Michaelâ??s eyes were wideâ?¦he hardly didnâ??t know what to say, he actually didnâ??t know his selfâ?¦did his like Anais like that? What, God no! â??Oh, God, no!â? Michael snapped at her. â??Why Michael?â? Corey asked, her eyebrow raised. â??Because she is only a child!â? The elevator door dinged. Corey lifted herself from the wall and started walking to it. She turned to Michael and helped him straighten himself out. She looked up at his brown eyes, while her icy blue ones burned into his. A playful smirk went on her lips as he leaned up to tell Michael, â??Age is only but an number Mike.â? And with that, she left to head back to the limo. Leaving Michael to think about what she had told himâ?¦ ---------------------------------------------------------------- To Be Continued...
