SkyScraper: Part 3
Here's part 3 :) I hope you all like it!<33 Love, ~Mary Cait ---------------------------------------------------------------- Kelly knew she should have thought it through how she would tell her friend she worked for someone she has loved since childhood. The brown-haired girl rubbed the back of her neck, the sea green eyes of her friend still burning into her big brown eyes. â??Umâ?¦Nais?â? Kelly asked, reaching over in front of herself and waving her hand in front of Anaisâ??s face. â??Are you okay?â? Anais was silent, realization finally came over her. The black-haired girl shook her head fast, stopped and stared at her best friend. â??Why didnâ??t you tell me you worked for Michael Jackson?â? â??Well, he wanted me to keep it a secret until the time was right.â? â??Till the time was right? â??Michael thought it was strange to hire a nineteen-year-old,â? Kelly told her friend. â??so he told me to wait for a tiny bit, then tell a CLOSE person about my job.â? â??And you choice me, why?â? â??Do you actually believe I am going to tell my mother I am working very, VERY close to an older man in his 30s?â? â??Okayâ?¦you gotta point.â? Anais said sitting beside her friend on her bed. Kelly pattered Anais on the back and smiled. She looked down when her hand touched a book of some kind. She picked it up and brought it to her face. â??Whatâ??s this?â? Anais quickly snatched the book away from her friend and held it close to her. â??I-itâ??s nothingâ?¦â? â??If you snatched it from me like that, it must be something.â? â??Wellâ?¦â? Anais said, loosing her tight grip on her song book. â??itâ??s my song book actually. Or a book I can write my thoughts inâ?¦â? â??Oh, really?â? Kelly asked, amazed by how much her friend truly keeps inside of her. â??I have to share it with someoneâ?¦â? â??Ohâ?¦â? Kelly said, sadden by what her friend said. â??Donâ??t get me wrong!â? Anais suddenly busted out, seeing how her comment made Kelly upset. â??I wouldnâ??t mind sharing things with youâ?¦itâ??s just that what I put in here, I would actually just like to keep it to myself reallyâ?¦â? â??Oh, okayâ?¦I understand.â? Both girls were silent for a little bit till Kelly asked to hear one of the songs in the notebook. Anais was a little shy at first, but opened the book to a song she has been working hard on to go with her life story. She sighed, here goes nothing: â??Skies are crying I am watching Catching teardrops in my hands Only silence, as itâ??s ending Like we never had a chance Do you have to Make me feel like Thereâ??s nothing left of me? You can take everything I have You can break everything I am Like Iâ??m made of glass Like Iâ??m made of paper Go on and try to tare me down I will raising from the ground Like a skyscraper. Like a skyscraper.â? â??Awe, whereâ??s the rest of it?â? Kelly asked, she didnâ??t want the song to end. â??Thatâ??s all I have so far really.â? Anais told her friend, she closed her song notebook and held it tightly to her. The girls talked for a bit till Kelly had to leave. Anais waved goodbye to her friend and laid down in her bed, falling asleep the minute her head hit her nice, fluffy purple pillow. ~***~ Business was slow. Michael was in the office with Natalieâ?¦Dennis was out sick today and Anais was so very bored sitting at her desk. She rubbed her face with her hands, wondering what ever she would do not to be bored. She reached into her handbag and found she had thankfully stuffed her notebook down in there today. She grabbed on of her pens, tapped it lightly on her tongue and started writing in it. She hoped no one tried to peek over her shoulder as she did so. â??Hello again, Itâ??s Anaisâ?¦I know you know me by now, seeing how I write in you almost everyday. It surprises me really that you havenâ??t ran out of paper yet. I wonder if you ever go over yourself with what I write in you and think, â??damn! Why the hell are you writing this shit to me!? Go see a damn therapist or something!â??â?¦that would be sorta funny to hear my own notebook say that about me. Listen, I know I have more problems then other people in the worldâ?¦but I guessâ?¦I canâ??t help it; I couldâ?¦I just donâ??t know who else to talk about my problems with. I could go to Kelly, Dennis or even call my grandfatherâ?¦butâ?¦they would all tell me the same thing afterwards, â??everything will be alrightâ?? though nothing once someone says it, it is never alright. It makes matters worst actually in my opinion. Alrightâ?¦so I guess Iâ??m happy that my Aunt forgot my birthday(I turn seventeen tomorrow!â?¦the same day of the interview as wellâ?¦). I mean, not like she was gonna get me anything special if she didâ?¦ Back to the happy side, Iâ??m very happy I get to see Michael everyday now because of his interviews here. Haha what? Iâ??ve had a crush on this man since I was two! Anywaysâ?¦oh, crapâ?¦someone is coming now. I gotta hide you before someone sees you. And I donâ??t want them asking any questions! Alsoâ?¦about â??SkyScraperâ? Iâ??ll finish it one dayâ?¦once I have insperation to do so withâ?¦bye for now. XxAnaisâ? Anais quickly hide her notebook and got up, bumping into someone in doing so. They both said their apologize, then both realized who each other was. Both looked up at each other; eyes of sea green and dark, chocolate brown meeting in an instant. â??Oh, I am very sorryâ?¦â? Michael told Anais. â??Ohâ?¦no, no Michaelâ?¦Iâ??m sorry. I really am.â? Anais said, her cheeks were blushing a deep shade of red. She excused herself and ran the other way, out of Michaelâ??s site. Not knowing she had left something important behind. Anais was in the girls bathroom, leaning against one of the stalls. She went to grab her notebookâ?¦only to find out it was no longer there in her arms. She cursed and wondered where it couldâ??ve went. As she cursed herself mentally, she then thought about where else it could actually be at the point in time. She raced out of the bathroom, almost knocking down a workerâ?¦while also knocking down a worker as she ran. She went back to the work part of the office, only to come to grips with her fear. Why was she in fear? Only because the thing she ever feared was someone reading her notebook that held her deepest thoughts and her problems. Who could be reading her book? Her heart was beating as she kept walking up to the person who kept turning her notebook slowly, page by page. Once she over the person, her shadow casted down on the notebook pages. Michael was busy reading the notebook that Anais dropped, not believe what he read page by page. Her thoughts her sad, angry and also crying for help. He couldnâ??t believe of this could come to the mind of a teenage girl, a teenaged girl who seemed the most happy, fun loving child he had ever seen. He was turning the pages slowly, till he found something that caught his eyes. A song of some sort called â??SkyScraperâ?. â??Whatâ??s this now?â?? Michael thought to himself as he read what little of the song there was. It was powerful, yet sad. He was busy read, about to turn the page in the small notebook again when a shadow of a person was casted down on him; the person blocked his reading light. Michael looked up, his reading glasses falling to the bridge of his nose looking up. Who was the one to cast the shadow? No other then Anais herselfâ?¦ ================================================================ To Be Continued Sorry this part wasn't my best /_/ I ran out of what to do at the end...but the next part will hopefully be a whole lot better. :) till next time !! <3
