Love Pain ~*One*~
*Inspired by the song 'Love Pain' by SHINee :D So what I've found out last night, I have to be completely half asleep and incoherent to be able to write well -_- So...I'm writing! :D So bare with me if there isn't much Michael in this, he'll come in soon! :D Hope you all enjoy =) -Lexa* "How 'bout this one?" "It looks great." "Matt, you've said that about every single dress I pick up." "You'd look great in all of them." "Yeah, that sounded believable." Matt glared at Rayne and scoffed when she threw yet another dress towards him. "Ray, you don't even wear dresses, why dress up like this for him?" "He's...special." Rayne smiled thoughtfully and looked back at the racks of dresses. "I just wanna surprise him." "You've only been dating him for a week." Matt reminded and started putting the dresses back on the racks. "How do you know he's so special?" "He just is." Rayne mumbled as her eyes scanned over the dresses, groaning in defeat. "We need to go to another shop. There's nothing here." "Okay, Ray, snap out of it. You're not seeing him until Saturday, you have three days, stop working yourself up over this." Rayne looked up at Matt, surprised. It was rare when Matt would get upset like this. "I know but..." "No 'but's, Ray. Just calm down and take a deep breath. C'mon, let's just go get some coffee." Matt grabbed his jacket and looked back at Rayne. She thought for a moment before slowly nodded, following him out of the store. "Sorry, Matt. I'm just...nervous." "You're afraid he'll be like your dad...and walk out on you?" "My dad didn't walk out on us he..." Rayne sighed and looked down at the sidewalk. "he just left for a while..." "And never came back." Matt raised an eyebrow at her and sighed. "Ray, why can't you be happy these days?" "Things are getting stressful, you know that. Besides, I-" "'Ey, Yin!" Rayne flinched at the now familiar nickname and kept walking, but quietly called back, "What do you want, Vic?" "I'll go now, Ray. You gonna be okay?" "Yeah...I'll be alright." Rayne stopped walking and watched as Matt walked away. She sighed and turned around, giving the older man a hard glare. "What?" "You didn't show up yesterday, we were all wondering what happened to ya." "Too busy." Rayne hissed, shifting on her feet impatiently. "Damn, Yin, I was just asking a question. What's with you?" She groaned and leaned against the brick wall of the alley. "Why the hell does everyone keep asking me that?" "'Cause you've been acting like Yin lately, not Rayne." Vic followed her movents, his hands staying in the pockets of his jacket. "I know I have..." Rayne whispered and looked down at her feet. "I've just been stressed lately." "Come hang out with the guys tonight, it'll help take your mind off of things." Vic gave a small smile when he saw Rayne's eyes brighten. "Alright...what time and where?" "Vance's place, 8:00." The former singer nodded and smiled genuinely for the first time that day. "I'll be there." *Alright, back story, Rayne is a former singer (obviously :P) that got dropped by her record company when she was 17 (she's 20 now). Michael is her father who thought Rayne and her mother would be better without him with them so, he left when Rayne was 3, she has very little memories of him but she does know who he is. Yin is basically her alternate personality, which she had discovered a year after being dropped from the record company. Vic, Vance and others who will come in later in the story, are part of a small gang in NY (where she lives) and amazingly, are also good friends with Rayne. They are also the main people who call her 'Yin'. -------------- Hope you all enjoyed it! More Michael soon =) -Lexa*
