At Last (Part one)
HI! I'm working on a story called "Forever Dreaming," but first, I want to just share with you a story that I wrote and finished on paper, and it took me about 70 pages to finish. I hope that it's creative enough for you guys and that you'll somewhat like them. (lol) Um...I just wanna dedicate this story to all of the folks here, especially the writers here before me, who inspired me a bit, like Samone,Sarah, and others. There's a lot. I hope that i'll get to be as good as ya'll, and I hope that this story will introduce me into the mjsite family. (lolz) And again, I want to dedicate this to ya'll, and last but not least, Michael Jackson. I'll see you in heaven, Mike. Well, here it comes. Sit back, relax, and... "maybe" enjoy if you like it. =) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hello. My name is Felicity Elizabeth Banks, I was 28 years old at the time, and at that time, I resided in Trenton, New Jersey. I was living a life like any other adult would. I had a job, I had my own place, and stuff like that. But unfortunately, my job sucked! I worked as a cashier at Jack-in-the-Box. It was low-paying, I had to answer to extremely rude customers, and I had to put up with crap that my stupid, immature manager, Jared put on me. When I wasn't getting "abused" at my job, I spent lots of my time at the local dance center, because I was in a local dance crew, called "The Boardwalk." (I know, corny and weird. I couldn't think of anything else, lol) We would do choreography to anything, from tap, to jazz, to even modern pop. I had been dancing ever since I was seven years old, just to escape from my bitter, childhood pain, filled with struggle, pain and tragedy. When I was only three, my father died of a presciption drug overdose, and shortly after his death, my mother hung herself just days after my fourth birthday. Because both of my parents were dead and the rest of my family didn't want to have anything to do with me, I was placed into foster care in New York City, and it was absoulutely dreadfully terrible there. I hated it there! I would get physically, verbally and sexually abused there, and no one seemed like they care. Didn't even try to help me. The sexual abuse was the hardest for me. After every incident, the molesters would threaten to hurt me if I ever told, and that scarred me for life. But when I was seven, I found comfort in dancing and it helped me overcome all of this stress in life. I had never stopped dancing ever since. When I was nine, a miracle came, because I never thought that anyone would ever adopt me, but I was wrong. I was eventually adopted by Gregory and Diane Banks in 1967, at nine years old. Gregory and Diane were a middle-aged, Caucasian couple from Trenton, New Jersey, who always wanted to have a child, but couldn't. (by the way, I'm African-American) Throughout my teenage years, I was a pretty good kid, but I also had my bad side. I did pretty good in school, but I made HUGE mistakes skipping school plenty of times, so you know why I was a cashier at Jack-in-the-Box. So anyway, about how the story starts. The new year just started, and I was ready to refresh and reach my new years resolution goals. Well, one bitter, scorching cold, winter day, I walked into the community dance center, and I had just came there from my "Shift from Hell" (lol) at Jack-in-the-Box, and I thought that I was going in for a regular dance rehearsal, but...it wasn't regular. Once I walked in, and took off my jacket, showing my dancer clother, I heard yelling, whooping, cheering, screaming, shouting, you name it, coming from the warm-up room. I was curious to what was up, so I walked in too find out what the shouting was all about. Once I got in that room, I saw everyone crowded in a circle, jumping and screaming, all excited. Just then, my life changed in January of 1987. Me: (curious) What's goin' on? Why are you all jumping like maniacs? My best friend, Daisy, who was also in the dance crew, was hopping and jumping, like a bunny rabbit who won the lottery or something. (lol) Daisy: (still jumping and screaming) Lissie! (my nickname) W-WE'RE GOIN' TO CALI TO AUDITION FOR MICHAEL JACKSON'S NEW MUSIC VIDEO!!!! When she broke the news out to me, I totally understood why she was moving like a bunny on crack. Me and her: (jumping up, screaming) My dance coach, Gloria, gathered all of us together for some rules and other information. Gloria: Alright, guys! I have some information that Michael Jackson's manager, Frank DiLeo sent me in the mail today. We'll arrive in Los Angeles on February 11. We'll rest for two days and on the 13th, we'll audition at the Shrine Auditorium. Now, let's break some ground rules. Ladies...no inappropriate clothing. no short skirts, no sleazy tops, no high heels, or anything revealing or vulgar. I know that Michael's very attractive and I know that you want his attention, but you can get it without dressing like a stripper, okay? (looks at Debra, who was in the dance crew, who was such a slut.) We will get on the plane on February 10. Now, there will be an audition dance number and right now, we'll learn it. We only have a month to practice it. Let's start now. TBC... What did ya'll think? Was it good, alright, or bad? Plz vote if you can.
