Du Schweigst -Two-
*I have had this damn song on reply for probably...2 hours -_- Yes, I'm addicted to it if you were wondering :P lol Anyway, here's part zwei ^_^ Dedicated to Kelz, Tiara, Jennell aaaand everyone else =) -Lexa* "Where can she be?" Melanie paced the living room, furry in her eyes. "Honey, you have tried calling Valerie haven't you?" She stopped and looked at her husband sheepishly. "Nein?" He chuckled and threw her her phone. "I'm always right." Melanie quickly shushed him when she heard someone pick up the phone. "Hello?" "Valerie, thank God! Where the hell are you?!" She heard murmering in the backround and soon became suspicious. "Um, you see...I don't know how to explain but...well...Amelia dragged me to Munich for a Michael Jackson concert." Valerie explained the last line in a hurry. Melanie's breath caught in her throat just by the mention of him. "Y-You're in Munich?" "Yeah, and..." She heard Valerie groan. "Hold on, mom." "He's gonna sue you, I swear!" Melanie raised an eyebrow at Amelia's voice in the backround. Obviously, Valerie didn't cover the phone completely. "No, no, it's fine. It's not like anything is broken. It was just a slap." Melanie held her breath at hearing his voice. His voice...she thought to herself in a daze. "Besides, he's my dad and fathers don't sue family. That's just...wrong." Melanie cleared her throat. "Valerie?" There was a slight pause and she heard her daughter breath out. "Yeah?" "Let me speak to him." * Valerie nervously glanced at her father...her father...her thoughts of him being her father filled her mind and she quickly handed him the phone, mumbling quietly. "She wants to talk to you." He took the phone and watched her worriedly as she sat in a chair against the wall, her head in her hands. "Melanie?" He gave a small smile at mentioning her name but quickly shook his head, sighing. "Is she alright?" He smiled wider at that and nodded to himself. "She's perfectly fine. You haven't changed a bit, Mel. Always worrying." "Yeah, well...yeah." He could hear the blush in her voice as she spoke awkwardly. "You been doing okay?" He lowered his voice and cracked a small smile. "Been keeping you and Valerie out of trouble?" "Me...yes. Valerie...obviously not." He chuckled to himself. "She didn't tell you she was going to Germany?" "Not at all. Luke and I..." She trailed off and the conversation became silent. "Luke?" Michael raised an eyebrow. "My...husband." At that moment, it felt like everything around him stopped. Husband? "That's...great. At least Valerie has a father." "Don't. You...I...well..." She stuttered a little bit longer and sighed. "It's my fault. I should have told you but with your schedule...I didn't think you would be able to..." "Melanie, it's fine. I don't really think I could've handled a kid back then anyway." He bit his lip nervously, thinking about his pregnant wife back home. The phone was suddenly snatched away from him and he looked up to see Amelia grinning. "I need to give her an explination for kidnapping Val. Be right back. Hey, Mrs. L? Yeah, Amelia. You see, I have a perfectly good explination for this." Amelia walked backstage, slowly explaining everything, leaving the two alone. * Valerie looked through the fringe of her hair and saw her dad eying her curiously. "What?" "L?" She bit her lip and looked back down. "Luke's last name is Listing." "Oh." An awkward silence washed over them. And after a few minutes, Valerie finally spoke up and looked up at him. "Care to explain?" "It's a long story." Michael rubbed his neck nervously. "We have time." *Hope you all liked it =) -Lexa*
