There Goes My Life...~A Short MJ Story~
*I hope you all enjoy* "There Goes My Life..." (Michael's Point Of View) (1977) "All he could think about was, I'm to young for this Got my whole life a head Hell I'm just a kid myself... How am I gonna rise one? All he could see was his dreams Going up in smoke So much for ditching this town and hanging out on the coast, Oh well, those plans are long gone And he said: 'There goes my life There goes my future My everythingâ?¦ Might as well, kiss it all goodbyeâ?¦ There goes my lifeâ??â? I was on the football filed just practicing for the big game next week. My girlfriend, Allie, was the head cheerleader. Me and her finally did it a couple weeks agoâ?¦and the I told the guys. They cheered for me. Typical guy thing to do. I like to treat my girls like they should be, and I have a great feeling about Allie. I smiled as I heard the whistle go off through the filed. I turn to see couch Anderson standing there. He looked all over; guess trying to point someone out. Heâ??ll normally do this if thereâ??s someone here for somebody. I shrugged it off, because mostly, no one is ever here for me. The only person that comes if my mother to tell me that Joe wants me to meet him at the recording studios right after practice and all that. I was about to turn around when the whistle was sounded again. Whoever the couch wants will they hurry up. The whistle is getting annoying here! My friend Austin came over and patted my shoulder. I turned around to see couch Anderson now standing with Allie. Whatâ??s with her? I saw the look on her faceâ?¦it looked like she has been crying. I ran over to her. She said we needed to talk. I fallowed her under one of the bleachers. She turned to me. I was wondering what she was going to sayâ?¦I hope sheâ??s not breaking up with me. Allie: Michaelâ?¦I-I got something to tell youâ?¦ Me: What is it baby? Allie: I-I-Iâ??m pregnantâ?¦ Me: *Shocked* Whatâ?¦*Drops my helmet on the ground* butâ?¦we were careful. We used a condom! Allie: Michaelâ?¦it brokeâ?¦ Me: Butâ?¦ Allie: Iâ??m so sorryâ?¦ She hugged me tightly. I hugged her back. I couldnâ??t believe this was happeningâ?¦Iâ??m a kid myself, now Iâ??m going to have to rise one? How am I gonna do that? Later that night in my room after I got done with practicing on the song me and my brothers were gonna sing and put on our new album soon. While I was in my bed just looking up at the ceiling, I thought back to what Allie had told me. I thought to everything was now that I planned going away. I had a dream about me and Allie being near the coast after graduation was over and just hanging out. Me and her. And the dream of being the biggest star out there. I guess those plans are long gone for me now. I looked up to the sky and said, â??There goes my life, there goes my future, my everythingâ?¦just might as well kiss it all goodbyeâ?¦there goes my life.â? â??A couple years of up all night And a few thousand diapers later That mistake he thought he made covered up the refrigerator oh, yeah He loves that little girl Mamaâ??s waiting to tuck her in, as she stumbles up those stairs She smiles back at him, dragging that teddy bear Sleep tight blue eyes and bouncing curls He smiles: â??There goes my life There goes my future There goes my everything I love you, baby good night There goes my lifeâ??â? ~4 Years Later~ (1981) I sat in the living room of my parents house, mine and Alliesâ?? little girl was sitting on my lap while I was reading her a story. Janet and Allie were in the kitchen while the guys were out back playing with their sons. Mother and father were out of the house, me and Joe had a little fightâ?¦once again. He just doesnâ??t understand. This is my and Alliesâ?? daughter, not his. I think I have the right to her. He doesnâ??t like that we had her out of wedlock, but there are days I can tell he loves herâ?¦I just canâ??t see it actually. I had just got done finishing with the story when Allie called me into the kitchen. Me: *Looks at Julie* You ready baby? Julie: *Nods her head* I picked her up and we walked into the kitchen. Allie came over and hugged me and she kissed Julie on her forehead. Julie giggled at her mother. Janet smiled and went outside. I could hear Randy yelling at Jackie for something. I guess thatâ??s what she was going outside to do. I looked at Allie and kissed her on her lips. I placed Julie down and she ran back to the living room to play a little more until Allie placed her down for her nap. I looked all over the freg with the pictures of our little girl. I canâ??t believe I thought she was a mistake all those years ago. Allie came over and hugged me. I kissed her on the top of the head and we walked into the living room. She walked up stairs, calling Julie to come with her. Julie grabbed hold of her Teddy bear. She stumbled up the stairs fallowing her mother. She looked back at me with her smile dragging that teddy bear of her. Her bouncing curls and her blue eyes were so cute. And I couldnâ??t believe she was mine. My daughter. Julie: Goodnight, Daddy. Me: Goodnight, baby girl. I saw her go up the stairs to her mother that picked her up. She walked into her room, and I just couldnâ??t help but think, â??There goes my life, there goes my future, my everything, daddy goodnight, there goes my life.â?? â??She had that Honda loaded down With every Abercrombie clothes and 15 pairs of shoes His a American Express He checked the oil slammed the hood said, â??Your good to goâ? She hugged them both and headed off to the west coastâ? And he cried, â??There goes my life There goes my future My everything, I love you Baby goodbyeâ?¦ There goes my lifeâ??â? ~14 years later~ (1995) Well, today is the day. Julieâ??s going off to Collage on the West Coast. I canâ??t believe itâ?¦just that it seems like yesterday I was holding her for the first time in forever. I just couldnâ??t help my feel I was about to cry when I slammed the hood down on her Honda. I heard Allie telling her goodbye and call us every chance she got. She came over and hugged me tightly. Sheâ??s always going to be my baby girl, no matter what anyone says about it. Sheâ??ll always be my baby. She placed her bags in the back of her car; which I can tell held her Abercrombie clothes and I bet more then 5 pairs of shoes. She hugged us one more time before started her cry. I came over and kissed her forehead like Iâ??ve always done. She looked at me. My eyes were watering, and I can tell in her blue eyes they were too. I wiped them away. Me: Donâ??t cry baby girl. Youâ??re gonna come back and visit right? Julie: *Nods* Yeah Daddyâ?¦ Me: Alright. You be good. And donâ??t start any trouble alright. Julie: Alright daddy. I love you. Me: I love you too, baby girl. I kissed her forehead once more. She started her car and she was driving away. I couldnâ??t help but feel the tears falling out of my eyes as I saw her dissapear before my very eyes. Allie came over and hugged me. We both watched our little girl go away. As we started into the house, I bought a new house of my own back in â??88, and went to Julieâ??s room. Nothing changed much. I saw on her bed was her teddy bear she would drag around all the time. I picked it up and sat on her bed. I looked around the room till I saw a picture of us on her nightstand near her computer. It was of us on her 9th birthday. She had placed icing on my nose and I did the same for her. She was sitting on my lap smiling along with me. Either Allie or Janetâ?¦maybe mother, LaToya or Rebbie took the photo. I donâ??t care who took it. It held a memory Iâ??ll never forget. I looked back outside to the empty backyard where me and Julie would walk around. I saw a image of us walking about the ranch. Her holding my hand. We talked and sung while walking that trail. Then it hit me, she was my everything and my life. I couldnâ??t believe I thought she was mistake all those years ago when Allie told me she was pregnant with her. I placed the photo back down and placed her bear back on the bed. I started out the door, and I cried looking back once more into her room. I could hear her voice saying, â??Morning daddyâ? and â??Goodnight, Daddyâ? as I turned around. And I cried, â??There goes my life, there goes my future, my everything, I love you, baby good bye.â? I took a deep breath as I closed the door and finished my sentence, â??There goes my lifeâ? I closed her door fully and walked downstairs. The house felt empty always. But sheâ??ll always be my little girl. Mine and Allieâ??s. The endâ?¦
