Michael + Jodie - Part 2
Hi again :) didn't get any votes or comments, but i'm writing the second anyway :) hope you enjoy it! I'm at the party. God it is drab. A real 'cheese and wine' type party. There aren't even any people my age here, as far as I know. Mum has officially started her mingling. I don't really know who's house this is, some guy called Joe Jackson or whatever. He's apparently pretty famous actually, and he just broke up with his wife, Catherine. So, naturally, mum probably has her sights set on him. What is wrong with her? We used to be so close, when dad was around. But then, when he... Ugh, never mind. Anyway, the point is, I am bored out of my mind! And the swing music isn't helping. I need to get out, away. Oh god, there's mum! What- what's she doing?! She's dancing with Jackson. That's it. I need to get away. I go down some long corridors, (he has a huge house!) And up some stairs, and again, and again. Bumping into people wearing masks, and an old man dressed as a cherry, and finally, I get to what I think may be a bathroom, but it has an aquarium in it. I have to say, it's beautiful. Bright, tropical fish of all colours swam gracefully behind the thick glass. There was another room behind the aquarium. Honestly, whoever designed this house doesn't know the meaning of the word privacy. I walked up to the glass and gazed in wonder at the beautiful colours in the tank. There was music coming from somewhere, probably where people had been dancing. It was so sweet, piano and violin, and a beautiful voice, all together in perfect harmony. I didn't know how long I had been there, but as I went lower to examine the fish at the bottom, I saw another eye staring back at me. We both shot up at the same time. It was a boy, around my age, maybe a bit older. We just stared at each other in shock. He was gorgeous, he looked a bit like Jackson, a lot younger. Maybe they were related? I started blushing, and looked down, and I could tell he was smiling. I looked up again and started smiling back. He gazed through the glass, and seemed to be moving his face closer, until it bumped into the glass. I started laughing, he was so beautiful... 'Jodie? Jodie, come with me, there's someone i'd like you to meet! Oh, come on, stop staring at the fish and let's go!' I felt a hand grab my arm. Mum. She pulled me out of the room. I needed to see him again, I kept looking back at the aquarium as mum pulled me away, he was still there, looking confused, then I saw him run away, he was following me! Mum pulled through crowds of people chatting and dancing, and then towards Jackson. Oh god, this isn't the time! I need to see the boy! I turned back again, trying to spot him in the giant main hall. No luck. We got to Jackson, and he had a warm smile on his face. He was looking at mum in 'that' way. It was obvious what he had in mind. 'ah, Jodie, it's great to meet you! My, you are a pretty thing aren't you?' he said, shaking my hand. 'listen, Jodie, me and your lovely mother have been talking, and we thought it would be good for you to get involved in the party too! You did look a little lonely before, didn't you?' I forced a smile, and nodded. My mum laughed, 'Ha, Jodie's always been a shy thing, haven't you darling? Still, when you get to know her, she's a real cheeky minx, aren't you?' by this point, I was MORTIFIED! How could she embarass me like this? Still, Jackson didn't seem fazed. He chuckled and said, 'listen, Jodie, how about you have a dance with my son, Marlon?' I looked at the boy standing next to him. He was handsome. Very handsome. But not like the guy I saw before. 'oh, um, well, I-uh, ok' I stuttered. I really didn't want to. Mum smiled at me encouragingly. Marlon took my hand, and smiled. 'you're beautiful, I hope you don't mind me wanting to dance with you. I just saw you, and-' 'Thankyou,' I started blushing again. 'and really, it's fine. I was getting bored over there anyway.' he laughed, and put his hand on my waist, and held my hand in his other. We were doing a traditional waltz dance. Oh god, help me now! We danced for a good 5 minutes or so. Which was uncomfortable. We were pretty close, and he kept staring at me. I glanced around one last time, trying to find the beautiful guy, but was losing hope. He wasn't anywhere to be seen. The song stopped, and we stopped dancing. He was still smiling. He took my hand, bent down and kissed it! I've never been kissed on the hand before! Well, i've never been kissed at all. Back at school, I was pretty overlooked really. Marlon led me to the back of the hall, whilst everyone applauded the band and the woman that had been singing. He was in front of me, and kept on turning and smiling at me as we clapped the band. Balloons and confetti sprung into the air and showed down on the crowd. I stood there smiling to myself. His face kept coming up in my head. I would probably never see him again. Just then, as the applause died down, I felt someone grab my hand. I turned around, shocked. It was him... To be continued! Hope you enjoyed that, I spent way more time on that one! Anyway, please comment if you like it, Jodie.
