Me: Here, take a seat.

Mike took a seat on the sofa while I sat on the separate recliner.

Mike: Nice house. It's really cosy.
Me: Thanks. Sorry i'm not dressed, I feel really rude.
Mike: Pssh i'm always in my pyjamas...

Awkward silence.

Me: Soo...?
Mike: Yeah! Totally forgot. Here.

He holds out something papery towards me. I take it and take a look. My $100?

Me: No...it's for you....
Mike: *grins* Nice try. I don't accept money as a gift.
Me: Oh I get it. You accept a cheque?
Mike: *shakes head and smiles* Nope. But, there's a coffee shop down the street from my place...If you'd like I can take you there.
Me: *raises eyebrows* Really? 
Mike: Yeah. They have the best brownies in California.
Me: Well, i'll have to be the judge of that.
Mike: Cool. I'll pick you up Friday.
Me: Alright. Hey, how'd you get my number?
Mike: *grins* I have my resources.
Me: Urrh okay?
Mike: *stands up* Friday...?
Me: Friday. *smiles*

He leaves and I hear the limo drive down the street. I got showered and dressed to meet Kimmie for shopping.

Kimmie: *looking gorgeous as usual* I look horrible.
Me: What!? You look sexy as! I'm so jealous of your eyes...
Kimmie: Pssh whatever. Hey, what happened the other night after I left?
Me: Well, I told Mike about what happened... And he fell asleep. Nothing exciting happend. Oh and he visited me this morning.
Kimmie: Huh?
Me: He's taking me out for a coffee on Friday.
Kimmie: Oh, cool.
Me: Yeah he seems pretty nice.
Kimmie: Ooooh I love this one!

She held up a summer dress and we continued shopping.

But I couldn't stop thinking about Friday...
