Our "Thing" Part 6
Hey everyone! Haven't got much to say but enjoy the story dedicated to you and Michael Jackson. Love you forever, wish you were still around to this day. -norah It was finally time to leave the office and Raeleen's day ended up being dreadful as always. Boris scolded at her for something Kendall did and the tea lady spilled coffee all over her blouse. Anyways, her stained top was nothing. Michael was coming that day. She walked out the building and outside was Michael leaning against his car wearing black shades and a plain blue shirt that went well with his jeans. Her new office "pals" Ms.B were all staring at him in awe. She walked up to him and gave him a hug. Rae: Michael, how are you today? Michael: Rae, I'm great actually. The meeting went extremely well. Rae: Good. Michael: *opens car door for her* You don't look very cheerful. What's up? Rae: *getting in car* Thanks. I'll tell you when you start driving. Now, Michael wasn't as you may know the world's best driver and it was just a little difficult for Rae to talk to him without fearing they're gonna crash into something. But she managed to explain her having to go have dinner with the Kellmans. When they were at their apartment, they had gotten to the topic of what she's going to wear. Rae: I think I have the perfect outfit. *grins* Michael: I'm scared. Rae: Don't be. Just watch. In minutes, she was already in jeans and a blue T shirt. Michael: I don't know... I mean they'll be in rich people's outfits you know so why not try something a little more formal? Rae: Hmmm you're right. She came out wearing a red jacket over her T shirt. Rae: I can tell by your facial expression you love it. Michael: The jacket? I more than love it. Mostly because it's MINE. Rae: Not until you give me back my oversized sweater. Michael: You said I could have it. Rae: If you say so. Let's go. In the car, they were talking about Michael's meeting which went super well. The execs. loved him and wanted to do alot of future projects with him. Michael: Are you sure about the address you gave me that it's thiers? Rae: Sadly, positive. And this is it. Their mansion. Michael had already gone past and had to reverse back. Rae: Dear God. I have been a good earthling. Please don't let me die. Michael: *giggles* You won't die. If you cared to notice, I'm driving extra slow for your safety. Rae: Wow. I don't know what to say. Michael: Say thank you, Sir Michael Joseph Jackson for being your awesome self. Rae: Thank you. And that's it. *looking at the mansion* I don't wanna go there. I would rather stay here and- Michael: I also would prefer it being that way but that security guy looks like he means business. Rae: *getting out the car* Thanks again, Michael. Michael: You're most welcome and don't sleep at the dinner table if Perry starts speaking. Rae: *giggles* I sure won't. Before anymore words could be exchanged between them, a large hand led Rae to the entrance of the mansion. The security guy gave her a nasty stare as he eyed her outfit. The door was opened already and she was hugged by a very large man with salt and pepper hair in a smart tux. Rae: Hi. You must be Perry's father Douglas Kellman. Nice to meet you. Douglas: I'm just so happy you are marrying my boy Perry. This is my wife Wilma. A nice looking lady with blond hair which was going a little gray gave her a hug. Wilma: We've heard alot about you but Carol certainly didn't mention you being so pretty. Rae: Emmm thanks. Wilma: Evidently your dress sense could do with some improvement but who's complaining? Douglas: You must be dying to see Perry. Rae: Not really but whatever. Wilma: What was that? Rae: I meant to say ummm I was dying to see Perry! The whatever part slipped out. Perry: *from nowhere* Tell me you didn't bring your friend Michael along. Rae: He loves you too Perry. Douglas: Let's eat, shall we? A worker dressed in a navy and white uniform led them to the huge dining room that had a table in the center of the room with strange looking food on the table. Rae: *sitting down* What is that? Perry: *sitting next to her* What? Rae: *pointing* That. All that? Wilma: *gasps* Perry: She hates it when people point. Rae: *smiles shyly at Wilma* Sorry. Douglas: It's actually a fine dish originally from Spain. Rae: Cool. It sure looks interesting. Douglas: What have you accomplished in your life that's worth sharing? Rae: Oh well I skipped a grade and started school early and got to Harvard and met Michael Jackson. Wilma: Who's he? Douglas: You must have met many well known people then. Rae: Yeah. Smokey Robinson is cool, Stevie Wonder is even cooler,Diana Ross is a bit of a - the point is I've met many well known people. Douglas: I'm sure I meant along the lines of people well known for real jobs. Perry: Couldn't have said it better myself. Rae: In that case then, I've met Quincy Jones and- Douglas: Your boss? Charming. Rae: *sighs* This tastes really nice, Wilma. Wilma: Oh I didn't make it. But I'll extend your compliment to the kitchen help. Rae: Oh. Me and Michael cook you know. He's really good at it but doesn't think really think so. He actually thinks I'm the better cook. The rest of dinner was spent listening to Rae go on and on about Michael in front of her future in-laws. Thanks to the Kellman's she got home in one of their many limos. She got in on Michael preparing the dining room table as if someone was to eat there. Rae: What's all this? Michael: What's all this she asks. I made you dinner. Rich people food can be horrible sometimes so I made all this for you. Rae: Wow that's thoughtful but- Truth is, the food may not have been nice but she was a little full from the Kellmans' Spanish stuff. But, Michael looked really happy to have done all this for her so she sheepishly smiled and sat down ready to eat some more. Michael: What's wrong? And don't say nothing because we've been friends for a long time and I can instantly- He was cut off in the middle of his sentence by Rae just sobbing and seeing her cry wasn't very pleasant because she hardly ever cried. Rae: *crying* I don't wanna marry Perry. Michael: *rubbing her back* I know. Look at me. Rae: *looks at him* Michael: We'll work this out, okay? You won't have to do something you don't wanna do. Not while I'm still around to defend you and stuff. Rae: *calms down* Thanks for being there. He looked deep into her eyes and could just stare into them all day. He lifted her chin up with his thumb and softly pressed his lips onto hers. ****************************************************************
