Stealing The Groom ~Part 3~

I arrive at Romayo's, where me and Michael are supposed to meet. I park my car and realize I'm 10 minutes late. I quickly rush inside and one of the waiters takes me to the table Mike's waiting at. When he notices I'm approaching, he gets up and hugs me and pulls out my chair for me.

Me: Thanks, Mike.

MJ: No problem. *smiles* I'm glad you came.

Me: I'm glad you invited me. Did you order our usual?

MJ: Of course I did.

Me: Good! *laughs*

Our food arrives shortly after and we don't speak for half of it. I decide to break the silence.

Me: Mike?

MJ: Yes? *looks up at me*

Me: What was it that you wanted to talk to me about in the text?

MJ: Oh, right. Well, um..I don't know how to say it.

Me: Come on, Mike. We're friends. You can tell me anything.

MJ: Ok, then I can't marry Allison.

Me: What?! Why not? I thought you loved her?

MJ: Well that's the thing, I don't.

Me: Then why did you ask her to marry you?

MJ: Because I thought I loved her.

Me: What happened then?

MJ: I realized that I love someone else. *looks ashamed*

Me: You what?! *yells*

MJ: Christina, listen please..

Me: No, Michael, you listen. Allison is my best friend and she is at her happiest with you. She's in love with you and you're telling me that you don't love her back and that you can't marry her? That's bull, Michael. I will not let you hurt my best friend like that. I'll be damned if I let you call off the wedding for some little slut, ok?

MJ: But Christina..

Me: I don't want to hear it, Michael. *gets up and starts leaving*

MJ: Christina *grabs my arm* I love..

He never got to finish his sentence.
