Do I Know You?....Part 23

A few minutes later the police arrive and take Dereck, Marcus and Cameron directly to jail. They were going to be placed in a maximum security prison so there was very small chance of them escaping again. By then everyone was awake. I was so grateful to the brothers and gave them big kisses. But I lingered the kiss longer on Michael.

Michael: Can I ask you something?
Me: Yeah?
Michael: What were you doing downstairs at 3am?
Me: Oh. (Rushing through the words) I heard footsteps and I was bored and I thought it was one of your brothers..... How did you know he was here?
Michael: I saw you weren't in bed and I panicked and woke up the boys.....
Me: (Shivers)
Michael: (Becoming intensely mad) And when I saw him...HIT YOU. I just lost it and punched him square in the nose.
Me: You did!? 
Michael: Yeah. How's your face? 
Me: Sore. My stomach hurts. (Clutches it)
Michael: Why?
Me: He kicked me.
Michael: He did WHAT!? Here, let me help you. God if I ever get my hands on that....!
Me: (Laughs) I'm okay Michael, seriously. Just a little frazzled up. 
Michael: (Sigh) You stay here. I'll make some hot chocolates.

I stand up and feel the pressure from Dereck's left hand on my temple.

Me: OW!

I sit down and Michael comes running in. I grimace at the pain and lay down.

Michael: Where does it hurt?
Me: My...head.

He starts massaging it and starts singing an unfamiliar song to soothe the pain.

Me: What's that song?
Michael: It's my idea. You know, that one I was talking about?
Me: Oh yeah I remember. 
Michael: It's called, We Are The World. I'm going to organise a huge celebrity gathering to sing it. What do you think?
Joe: Yeah, as if you could ever manage something like THAT! (Laughs and Michael looks down)
Me: (Lifts his chin up) I think it's a wonderful idea, Mike.
