*hey it's Kelly with my new story! enjoy* My name is Courage, Iâ??m the girl that thought she had it all a great family, great friends, and just a great life in general. But it all changed in 1978 when my dad and older sister were killed in a car crash I moved to Encino, California a year after that with my mom and little sister who we called Kelz. Itâ??s now 1983, Iâ??m 18 and Iâ??m done with school my mom works in the music world a lot so Iâ??m pretty much a baby sitter for Kelz whoâ??s only 7. And today my mom didnâ??t have to work so maybe I could go out tonight and have some freedom! Well that changed when I got home from a friends. I saw my mom getting ready to leaveâ?¦again Me: Mom where are you going? Mom: Kellyâ?¦I mean Courage, listen this is important. This video is going to be released in December Me: whoâ??s music video this time? Prince! God youâ??re never at home anymore Mom Mom: Courage I didnâ??t finish! Me: alright then finish mom Kelz: (walks up next to me) did you say Prince Me: sssh Kelz: â?¦fine Mom: Iâ??m working on a very important music video with Michael Jackson for â??Thrillerâ? and we need to have it done by December 3rd, thereâ??s only one problem Me: and that is? Mom: thereâ??s no girl for the videoâ?¦so I was thinking considering youâ??re a big fan of his and stuffâ?¦ Me: Me?! oh heavens no Iâ?¦I canâ??t even though I want to Mom: alright youâ??ll do it Me: what I never said that Mom: did too Kelz: you did in a way Me: fine Mom: good I told them youâ??d do it anyways (she smiled) Me: but what about Kelz Mom: what about her? Me: Sheâ??s 7, and sheâ??s gonna be at home alone! Mom: weâ??ll bring her Kelz: I getta see Michael Jackson?! Mom: Yup Kelz: awesome! Mom: donâ??t embarrass your sister though Kelz: (Smiles slyly) oh I wonâ??t Mom: Kelz Kelz: what? I said I wonâ??t Mom: I know you, just keep it zipped Kelz: fine Well after that we all piled in my mom 1982 camaro and left, my mom told me we were working on the video today we were going to a dance studio where Michael was working with the dancers and then heâ??d work with me one on oneâ?¦which Iâ??m kind of nervous about. When we got to the dance studio we all got out and headed toward the studio, Kelz grabbed my side which made me jump and I looked at her Kelz: donâ??t talk to much to Michael Me: I didnâ??t plan on it Kelz: Courage, youâ??d talk to him like non stop if you could Mom: Kelly! Come on She only called me by that name when I really needed to hustle, Kelly used to be my name, but they changed it to Courage on my birth certificate and I like Courage much more. Kelz and I followed our mom inside and we could hear music we followed her towards the noise and thatâ??s when I saw Michaelâ?¦he was working with the dancers for the video and this guy came overâ?¦must be John Landis John: Glad to see you came Jesse Mom: yup I brought Courage also John: (looks at me) youâ??re Courage? Me: yup the only one on Earth (I smiled) John: wow itâ??s really great to meet you! (he stuck his hand out) I smiled and shook it, we were talking with John until the music stopped. And thatâ??s when I stopped talking, Iâ??m a huge Michael fan and all that I just never thought Iâ??d stop talking or â??loseâ? my voice when I was in his presence. John went over and talked with Michael for a second Mom: Ready to meet Michael Me: (Shaking my head) Mom: are you nervous Me: (nods my head) Mom: (laughs) donâ??t be, heâ??s niceâ?¦besides you probably wonâ??t work with him until tomorrow Kelz: Courage and Michael sitting in a tree Me: (hits her shoulder) shut up Kelz: ow! Mom Mom: Both of you stop please! Kelz: she started it! Me: oh bull crap! (I spoke quietly) Mom: you wanna be grounded you two? Now thatâ??s embarrassing we shut up before Michael and John came over to us, and when they did I looked directly at Michael and I got a million butterflies in my stomach. He looked at me and smiled I couldnâ??t help but smile back, and my momâ??s voice broke me out of my focus Mom: Michael, this is my daughter Courage and this little one is her sister Kelz Michael: Hey guys (he smiled) itâ??s nice to meet you Both: You too! Kelz: (humming-â??Courage and Michael sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-Gâ?) Thatâ??s when I hit the back of her leg with my foot and she shut up and looked at me, I shot her a glance to shut up and she crossed her arms. And I listened to Michael again Michael: Courage Me: yes? Michael: is it alright if I ask you a couple questions in private? Me: umâ?¦ Michael: come on I donâ??t bite, itâ??s just so I know who Iâ??m working with Me: (giggles) okay ask me some questions I walked off with Michael manâ?¦I canâ??t believe I actually am here with Michael Jackson! This is so cool, I looked back at my mom and Kelz smiling and Kelz made kissy faces which made me giggle quietly and I looked back forward so I donâ??t run into Michael or the wall. Michael and I sat down in a couple chairs in the same room as everyone else, but kind of off to the side, he had his hands folded in his lap and he looked at me I couldnâ??t help but go a tad red in the face. Michael: So Courageâ?¦ to be continued... not until i get 10 votes :)
