Plot: Michael and Lacey have been friends since they were in diapers,close like peas in a pod. But what happens when Michael and Lacey began to realize that they feel more then just the whole friend thing. Not only that Lacey is already in a relationship with her boyfriend of 1 year, will it be too late for Michael and Lacey to reveal their true feelings for one another.

March 10 1978

â?? Okay Michael now you promise me the same thingâ? Lacey replied hugging Michael, â??I promise no matter what happens weâ??ll always be friends Iâ??ll miss you Laceyâ? Michael sighed deeply. Michael and Lacey have been friends since as long as they could remember and as far as Michael knew she was his only one true friend and now she was leaving him. â??You know you really donâ??t have to move to California stay here with me theyâ??ll never knowâ? Michael said pleading with Lacey to stay, â??Yeah sure I will then my parents will kill me , its okay look Iâ??ll try to visit I promise I have to go Michaelâ? Lacey said hugging Michael one last time. â??Goodbye hopefully you can visit and if you canâ??t maybe weâ??ll see each other somedayâ? Michael replied with a smile. Lacey blew Michael a kiss trying hard not to cry as the car began to drive off and Michael was no longer in sight.

Present Year 1987

â??Baby I have to go Iâ??m running late for this interview alreadyâ? Lacey exclaimed grabbing her purse and slipping on her black heels. â??Okay baby well Iâ??ll see you later and I love you call me letting me know if you got the jobâ? Dillon yelled from the kitchen of their small apartment. Dillon and Lacey had been together well over a year know and Lacey knew she had found the one she was meant to be with forever â??Okay byeâ? Lacey called out sweetly. â??God way to make an impression Lacey being 15 mins late for a job interviewâ? Lacey said to herself running into the hotel building. Lacey had been looking for a job for a while now since she had been laid off from her previous job, so when Lacey found an opening for a desk receptionist she jumped at the opportunity. Sure Dillon had a great job working in a record store but Lacey was independent and she hated just being stuck at home jobless.

â??Hi I know Iâ??m a little late but Iâ??m here to see a Mr. Allen for the receptionist positionâ? Lacey said with a huge smile, â??Oh you must be Ms. Dawson I can see that punctuality is not one of your strong pointsâ? the female receptionist answered sarcastically. Lacey rolled her eyes but bit her tongue this women could possibly be someone of importance if Lacey landed this job â??Guess not shame on meâ? Lacey replied with the fakest smile ever. â??Right this way Ms. Dawson by the way Iâ??m Juliaâ? Julia replied opening a door to show an empty office, â??Heâ??ll be right with you have a seatâ? Julia said walking away and popping her gum. Lacey sat there in silence reading all the signs and awards the hotel hand won for being best hotel in the city, Lacey saw a business card on the desk with the hotel number and took one just in case.

Lacey dug through her purse to find her wallet to place the business card inside â??Oh my God I still have thisâ? Lacey replied finding a picture in her wallet that see thought she had lost a while back ago. The picture showed Lacey and her best friend Michael sitting on her front porch throwing the peace sign, Lacey laughed and flipped the picture over to read the back of it. â??No matter what friends forever Lacey Lou love Michaelâ? Lacey read to herself â??Yeah friends forever thatâ??s why I havenâ??t heard or see you in foreverâ? Lacey sighed placing the photo back in the wallet. Lacey was about to stand to reach out for pencil on the desk till she was startled back in her seat by the door opening â??Ah Ms. Dawson sorry about the wait its just weâ??re getting the hotel well prepared by a visit from a huge person of importanceâ? Mr. Allen replied shaking her hand.

Lacey sat through the interview answering every question honestly and as professional as she could â??Well Ms. Dawson Iâ??m impressed we could use a person like you here at Lockwood Hotels consider yourself hiredâ? Mr. Allen said with a smile, â??Oh really thank you so much, when would you like me to startâ? Lacey replied with a squeal of delight. â??How bout tomorrow say 7:00 a.m.â? Mr. Allen answered shaking Laceyâ??s hand once again, â??Oh you got it Iâ??ll be here right on time I swear Mr. Allenâ? Lacey said opening the door, â??Thank you so much once againâ? Lacey waved as she walked out the door, once on the other side of the door Lacey couldnâ??t help but jump up and down like a five year old. Lacey walked to the hotel lobby with a huge beaming smile on her face â??See you tomorrow Julia I got the jobâ? Lacey said waving goodbye, â??Woo-pee I jumping off the wallsâ? Julia replied tapping her fingernails on the desk.

Lacey just smiled maybe Julia was like that with all the new girls but oh well, Lacey turned and began to walk to the doors but stopped to notice a whole bunch of people crowding the from of the hotel. â??What on earth did someone dieâ? Lacey said softly trying to see what was going on, she noticed those people crowding a black limo. Suddenly a very slender man with a black hat on and a mask on his face step out of the limo â??Celebrities I swearâ? Lacey said rolling her eyes and continued on her way out of the hotel. Lacey finally squeezed her way out of the madness but not before bumping into this mysterious man â??Hey watch it palâ? Lacey said brushing her shoulder as she passed by â??Iâ??m very sorry I do apologizeâ? the man said before quickly rushing off. Lacey stopped in her tracks she regocnized that soft voice anywhere and turned to look but the man was gone â??Nah couldnâ??t be youâ??re losing it Laceyâ? Lacey said to herself as she adjusted her blouse and headed to car back home to Dillon.
