High School Sweethearts pt1
This story is about me and Michael in 1978. I just transferred to his school and I get to meet him the first day. My mom and dad just decided to move to california because of better education opertunities. I'm really nervous since I don't know what school I'm going to. Mom: Are you doing ok Harmony? Me: Yeah, I'm just packing my closet mom! Mom: Ok sweetie, We're going out to get dinner soon. Be ready to go in 15 minutes. Me: Alright 15 minutes exactly I was ready to go eat. It was just another night of take out when I heard the best news of all. Dad: Now Harmony. I have some good news. Me: Yes? Dad:(looks at mom)We're putting you in a new school once we get to California. Me:(Looks at them both) What school? Mom and Dad: The same private school as the Jackson 5! Me:(drops fork and screams)Really?! Mom and Dad: Yes Me: Oh thank you so much!!!I love you guys so much! Mom: We love you too Harmony Dad: Yeah, anything for my little girl. We then started the long trip a week later. I didn't even sleep on the way because I was so excited! I saw our new house and ran into my new room. I fell on the bed and giggled until I fell asleep peacefully. When I woke up, my mom was sitting on my bed with shopping bags. Me: Mom? Mom: Hello Harmony. I got you some new school clothes since you start tomorrow. Me: Thanks mom! Mom:(Hugs me tightly) No Problem Harmony Me: What time is it? Mom: Time for dinner. Get washed up and come downstairs ok? Me: Be there soon! I walked into my own bathroom and washed up for dinner. I even fixed my hair.My dad and mom are so cool! Dad:(whistling ABC) Hey there Harmony! Me: Hi Daddy! Dad: Ready to eat dinner? Me: Yup! Smells amazing! Dad: Compliments to the chef. Me: (giggles at my dads joke) I helped to set the table and we sat down to a great family dinner. I went upstairs and picked out an outfit for tomorrow. You never know who you'll see. me: I'm walking to school! Bye mom! Bye dad! Mom and Dad: Bye Harmony! I start on my way down the street to school and was whistling The Love You Save when I spot Michael and Marlon. I almost went nuts! I went to the front office to get my class scedule and to find my homeroom teacher. You should have seen my face when I walked in the room and saw michael sitting alone smiling at me as I walked in. Mr. Hughes(Principal): Mrs. Payton, meet Harmony Nelson. She's new here and I want you all to make her feel welcome. Mrs. Payton: Thank you Mr. Hughes. Hello Harmony! Class, say hello. Class: Hello Me: (blushing) Hi Mrs. Payton: Well lets see, the only open table is next to michael. You can take a seat by him and I'll get you a book ok? Me: Ok I walked back to his table and sat down without looking at him directly. I was too shy to say anything but I was shocked that he talked to me. Michael: Hi. You have a pretty name. Me:Really? You think my name is pretty? Michael: Yeah. Harmony is the best element of music. Me: My mom loves music so she named me Harmony. Michael: Cool. I saw you this morning walking on campus. I tried to wave but you ran into the building. Me:(Blushing)Sorry, I'm not that social. Michael: Its ok. Its nice talking to you now. Me: Thanks. Michael: No Problem. You know anyone else here? Me: Well, Marlon is here and other than him, No one. Michael: Oh ok. So I guess you have no one to eat lunch with? Me: Yeah. Michael: Could I eat with you? Me: Of course you can! Michael: Cool Me: Yeah He then told me that the teacher was getting my history book and that we were on chapter 3. When she walked over there and gave me the book, I turnd to the page and started reading with the class. Mrs. Payton: Ok class, time for lunch! We then filed out of the room into the cafeteria. I was really starting to like this school already. Michael: You wanna eat outside? Me: Sure. We got our trays and walked outside to sit on the lawn. We started talking and had a great time. Michael: So when did you move here? Me: We got here yesterday afternoon. Michael: Where ya from? Me: Georgia Michael: You live close to school? Me: Yeah Im gonna walk every day. Michael: Would you like to walk with me and Marlon? Me: Sure! I looked up and saw Marlon walking over to us with his tray. Marlon: Hey Mike! Who's your friend? Me: (blushing) Hi. I'm Harmony Marlon: Harmony huh? Pretty name for a pretty girl! Me:(blushing even worse) Thanks. Marlon: Youre welcome! Can I eat with you guys? Michael: Sure. Marlon sat down with us and we had fun.
