Another Part Of Me - Part 12
Everyone froze. Then suddenly, Thomas started laughing. "WhAt??" I asked, astonished. "Yeah, right. Michael Jackson's baby. What a set-up. Do you expect me to believe that, or is it a practical joke?" "Um, can you just see, uh... Michael is standing there." I pointed. "You got him here! I dunno what this is but THAT is not the real Michael Jackson, you do not know the real Michael Jackson, and you DO NOT have Michael Jackson's baby." It was my turn to laugh. "Mike, just tell him the truth!" I laughed. "Is it true?" asked Michael. "Yeah. Yes, yes, it is true." Michael stepped closer to Thomas. "Look, this is true. I don't know if you believe me or not but I can assure you I nor Britney are lying," he explained coolly. "You're joking, mate. Who are you, really?" asked Thomas. "Michael. Michael Jackson. Honesty. I am!" "I really think you should give it up now Brit!" said Mom. She thought it was a wind-up, too! "None of you believe me?" I asked. "Get real, B! This is number one on the list of no-no's at a wedding!" exclaimed Cina. "You're taking this to far," said Harry, my brother. "How did you find out?" asked Michael, ignoring the voices. "DNA," I said quietly. "Don't you think you should..." "Show them?" I asked. "Mm." "I can't," I replied. "Why not?" he asked. "I just CAN'T, okay?" I cried. "See. It ain't real, all an act!" exclaimed Aunt Betta. "It totally is!" said Cina. "I think you should give this up now. If I am honest this is totally the wrong thing to do at a wedding," said Paige. "OKAY, YA WANT PROOF?? YA GETTIT!" I shouted and ran outside. I got into one of the wedding cars and drove home. I went in the bathroom, grabbed the DNA results and speeded back to the venue. "Here!" I shouted, waving the DNA paper around as I walked up to Thomas. I flashed the part of the paper that said, 'DNA Results' and stuffed it back in the envelope. "Wait a minute, that's fake, you didn't show me the actual results," said Thomas. The door burst open. "I don't think you have to," said Michael. In jumped Janet. "Now do you believe me?" I asked. Everyone stared at Janet. "Well..." started Mom. "This is um... a shock." "You did the right thing, Britney," said Janet. "Thanks," I replied quietly. Thomas scoffed. "Very funny now can we get on with the wedding?" "I think it's true," said Paige slowly. "Ya need more proof?" asked Janet. "I think I can provide it." She walked outside and reappeared in a short while. At first I thought she'd just walked back in and done nothing. "So?" I asked. "What have you done?" asked Michael. "Nothing, by the looks," said Thomas. Then the doors burst open again, and in came LaToya and Jermaine followed by most of the rest of the Jacksons. "You can't make out this sin't true," I said. "I can," Thomas protested. Then Janet, out of nowhere, slapped him. "Get real, man!" she shouted. "It is true, Thom, face it," Harry said. "Yeah, get back to earth, like, it's obvious," said Cina and patted her head to indicate Thomas was stupid. "She's right," I informed Thomas. "What the hell did you think you were doing?" shouted Thomas. "Got it through your thick skull now, have you?" I smirked. "You B***h," he yelled and held his fist out like he was gonna hit me. Janet and the 'Jackson Army' held him back. Thomas shrugged them off and moved further towards me. "No, you don't," said Janet, and pulled out a gun. "JANET!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! PUT IT DOWN!" yelled Michael. "No!" cried LaToya as she made a dive for the gun. "Seriously, Jay, lose the gun, please," I asked her. Ignoring us all, she said, "I'ma shoot in 3...2...1," and pulled the trigger. A load of water came out and sprayed Thomas. "A... water pistol??" asked Michael and breathed a sigh of relief. "What were you expecting, a real gun?" she giggled. Everyone bagan laughing infectiouly. "Nice one, J," I chuckled and high-fived her. Only Thomas didn't seem to find it so funny. "I fail to see the funny side," hissed Thomas. "This baby belongs to me. HE might be the biological father, but I am the real one." He ran over and snatched the baby out of Mom's lap. "Don't touch him!" warned Michael. "Her, actually," I informed him. "Oh." But it was too late. Thomas and the baby had disappeared. I ran outside. Thomas was in a car with the baby. I ran up to it but it sped off before I could get to it. "Call 911," I said. "That b*****d kidnapped my baby." TO BE CONTINUED...
