Another Part Of Me - Part 1
It was Feburary, 1983. Britney Summers was going to see Michael Jackson on tour. He was her idol and she had posters of him all over her bedroom wall! There was a long queue to get in... I thought I was going to fall asleep! Eventually, I gave my tickets in and walked in, complete with a Michael Jackson t-shirt! I sat down at the seat I was allocated on the tickets - Row 49 Seat 128. There was so many seats there and the stage was huge. I sat down. There were people either side of me. "Hi!" one of them said. "How are you?" "Uh... fine, thanks!" I replied. Suddenly everyone froze and looked at the stage. "Buwahawah....uuuggggghhhh," one of the girls pointed. I looked. Michael Jackson was standing there. "Michael Jackson is standing there," gasped the girl on the other side. The other one weakly murmured, "Mich...uuuuhhh," and fainted. This was not the first time I had seen Michael, but I barely felt I could remain concious myself. At the same time I was wondering why all the girls were fainting. I must have been the biggest fan out of the two of the girls, yet I didn't faint. It was never down to amazement, attraction... in my eyes, Michael was a person, a good person. She didn't faint because she saw Michael as a person. But the girl fainted because she saw Michael as a singer. "Are you OK?" I asked, bending down to see if the girl still had her eyes open. "What's your name?" I asked. "She... Sheena," she said. Sheena fluttered her eyelids uncontrollably. "Sheena, I think I need to get you a hospital... is that OK?" I asked. I didn't think she needed one but I couldn't miss Michael's concert! I eyed the ambulances outside. "Can you walk to that ambulance yourself?" she asked, a little annoyed that Sheena was her problem. She wished she'd have pretended she didn't notice or something. It's not her fault, I should help... I thought to myself. "Okay, I'll take you to the ambulance, you're in no fit state to be walking," I told Sheena. "Th...Thank You," she replied. It was a struggle. I eventually hauled Sheena to the ambulance with the help of Paige, the kind girl on the other side. When we got back, both Paige and I were angry because we'd missed the first ten minutes. "Oh, we've misshhhh..." Paige didn't finish her sentence. She dropped to the floor. "Oh, no, not again," I said. "CAN SOMEBODY HELP?" I shouted over the music. Someone came out of the audience, so I shouted, "THANK YOU!" and legged it back to my seat. Either side of me was now empty. I watched the rest of the concert without fainting. Halfway through, Sheena reappeared and thanked me for helping. She can't have needed an ambulance, I thought. "You'll only faint again," I said under my breath. Walking out, I got caught up in a 'Rush Hour'. It was gonna take me forever to get out! Eventually, I got out. I thought I needed to buy something so I waited for a bus. Then I noticed something... the backstage doors. Maybe I can see Michael, I thought and walked up to them. Obviously locked. "Hey! Oy,oy,oy!" shouted a man dressed in black who I later discovered as security. "Not alowed! Back off!" without a word I ran back across the street to wait for the bus. There were a few people walking around the street. I looked at people walking, some people coming out of the show... even someone who looked like Michael Jackson. For a minute I thought it was, but I couldn't be sure they even looked like Michael. I slowly trailed behind him. He was wering a big coat, and I noticed across the street, a moustache! It couldn't be, I concluded. Your mind's playing tricks on you, I thought and ran back across the street. The man turned to me and smiled. Then he continued walking. After a few minutes, just to prove myself I was being crazy, I reluctantly walked at the back of him. Suddenly he turned around and I did something really crazy. I pulled the moustache to see if it was real or not. Obviously, if it was real, which it probably was, well it would kind of hurt. I pulled at the moustache. I stayed put. "What did you do that for?" he shouted. Then I realised I had the wrong man. I ran at the back of the one I was originally following. Should I or should I not? I thought. I should. I jumped in front of him and pulled off the moustache. There was a ripping sound and it came right off! "Whaz that for?" he asked. As soon as he spoke, I realised who he was. "Are you... Michael Jackson?" I asked. I
