My Immortal By Caitlyn
It was June 25th 2009, I was with my Karly teaching herâ?¦or trying to teach her the moonwalk, I have been a fan of Michael since 1998 when I was two. So Iâ??ve been a fan since I was a toddler, we were trying it to â??Billie Jeanâ?. Karly really loves Michael as well. My other friends Luke and Tyler were there as I was trying to teach her. Luke was recording and Tyler was being a show off. He knows I canâ??t do Michaelâ??s toe stand. I took a break from teaching Karly to chase Tyler around my backyard, Snowball-my dog- chased after us. Luke and Karly were just laughing. We had no idea what was gonna happen in the next few minutes. I saw Hayden and Marlon had pulled up to my house. Hayden was gonna be spending the night(this is when she couldnâ??t talk very well). Everyone one of us went in the house; not knowing what was gonna happen when we turned the TV on. The news was oneâ?¦and what was on broke mine, Karly, Marlon, Luke and Tylerâ??s hearts. Michael Jackson died at 50. That caused Karly who didnâ??t know him for long to cry in my arms while we watched the news. Karly loved Michael very much like the rest of us. And it pained me to see her crying like this. â??Where did Ichael go, Aitlyn?â? she asked me. I held her tight and told her, â??Somewhere people canâ??t hurt him anymore, sweetie.â? as tears came down me as well. Hayden was weeping to herself. At school it was very quite for me and Peyton and Aaron to talk about. We learned that a talent show was gonna be held the very same night. It was the day after we heard the news about Michael, and Peyton and Aaron both thought I should sing a song I knewâ?¦and I was like, they know I hate crowds and singing in front of people, so I was having a hard time answering them. Finally they got me to do it. Peyton told me, â??Cay, just think Mike is in the front row of the autotium watching you sing. And your singing for him, why are you so shy around people. You love to sing and danceâ?¦I donâ??t know why you wonâ??t be yourself in crowds?â? I had no idea how to answer her, but I knew she had a point. So I looked up on Youtube to see what song I could sing. I looked up songs from â??Evanescenceâ? and I found one song that actually fit what I felt, I picked the song â??My Immortalâ?â?¦I got Marlon to burn the only the song part for me. And I was ready for tonight. At school, waiting for me to be called I was nervous at I donâ??t know what. Then I remembered what Peyton said, â??Just think Mike is in the front rowâ?. And I did just that, he appeared just as I imagined him, smiling same old Michael Jackson we all know and love, wearing his favorite two colors. As they called my name, I took in a deep breath and went out. Everyone was clapping and as the song started, I started singing clearly and thinking of nothing but this is for Michael, no one else. As I finished the song, tears fell from my eyes. And I said this to everyone to hear, it wasnâ??t very clear but I knew they must have known what I was doing. â??Thatâ??s for you Mikey Bear, Iâ??ll love you always. Youâ??re â??My Immortalâ?.â? And for some Iâ??ve told this to alreadyâ?¦but this is the whole story. Iâ??ll never forget my â??Big Brotherâ? Michael, and he will always be my Prince in armor and my big brother, I love you forever Michael Joseph Jackson.
