As Hayden was walking up the stairs the phone started to ring. I reached out my hand to answer it when Hayden said..
Hayden: Wait!
Me: What?
Hayden: Before you answer that I just want to warn you that I gave Michael Jackson our number. Bye!
Hayden said that an ran away.
Me: What?!
Mom: Oh my. Drama. Iâ??m out.
My mom went after Hayden and I reluctantly answered the phone.
Me: Hello?
??: Hey is this Halle?
Me: Yeah.
??: This is Michael Jackson.
Me: Oh hey Michael.
Michael: Sorry for calling so late.
Me: Itâ??s okay. Hayden warned me at last minute that she gave our number to you.
Michael: How last minute?
Me: When you were calling.
Michael(laughing): Oh.
Me: So why did you call?
Michael: I was uhh wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime.
Me: Uhh..yeah thatâ??d be great.
Michael: Oh cool. Whoâ??s house?
Me: Is yours okay?
Michael: Yeah..i was hoping you would say that.
Me: Okay. Well should I just like walk there?
Michael: No. Iâ??ll pick you up.
Me: Sound Good.
Michael: So..
Me: So?
Michael: I need your address.
Me: Oh yeah sorry. Umm..312 Main Street in Encino.
Michael: Oh really?
Me: Yeah.
Michael: Thatâ??s only like 5 minutes from where I live. Cool. I thought you lived farther away than that.
Me: Yeah not that far.
Michael: Well then I guess I will pick you up tomorrow at 5?
Me: Sounds good to me.
Michael: Okay. Well bye Halle.
Me: Bye Michael.
I hung up the phone and fell to the floor. I didnâ??t pass out I just fell to the floor. My mom came running down the steps and Hayden followed.
Mom: What happened?
Me: I am hanging out with Michael Jackson tomorrow. At his house.
Mom: Oh god. Young adult drama.
My mom walked away but Hayden ran up to me and hugged me.
Me: Whoa, what is with the hugs.
Hayden: I am just so happy for you. You get to be with the man of your dreams.
Me: Donâ??t worry Hayden. You will meet the man of your dreams one day.
Hayden: I sure hope so. Well I better get to bed. Or else Mom is gonna kill me!
Me: Okay. I think I am gonna go to bed too. I am so tired.
Hayden: Yeah singing at the grammys wore me out.
Me: Same.
Me and Hayden went upstairs. She went to her room and fell asleep. But me on the other hand went to my room and couldnâ??t fall asleep. I was thinking about what would happen tomorrow. I was thinking â??Is he going to like me?â? â??Is he going to hate me?â? â??Will I embarrass myself?â? â??Will he introduce me to his family?â? All these things were running through my mind. I couldnâ??t stop thinking about it. I just wanted all the thoughts to go away. But I decided to listen to some music. I thought that would clear my mind. It did. I listened to Rock with You and fell asleep to Michaelâ??s sweet seducing voice. I woke up the next morning totally forgetting about my â??dateâ? with Michael. I took a shower and ate breakfast. I got dressed in my black skinny jeans and a Jackson 5 T-shirt. As I was doing my make-up after I straightened my hair I got a phone call.
(PHONE CALL)
Me: Hello?
Michael: Hey Halle itâ??s Michael.
(Iâ??m thinking. Crap I am hanging out with him today)
Me: Yeah.
Michael: You mind if I pick you up at 3 instead of 5?
Me: Sure. But why earlier?
Michael: Iâ??m taking you out to dinner and a movie.
Me: Thatâ??s sweet. But remember this isnâ??t a date.
Michael: You can think that.
Me: What?
Michael: You think of it as not being a date. But I think of it as being a date.
Me: Okay. Iâ??ll be ready at 3.
Michael: But just warning you, I might come a bit earlier than that.
Me: Why?!
Michael: Make sure you are slacking behind.
Me: Fine. See you later Michael.
Michael: See you later Halle.
I hung up the phone and finished doing my make-up. It was a Saturday so My mom was working. But Hayden didnâ??t have school. I spent the rest of my day(until Michael came) with Hayden. We played video games and danced around to music. At 2 I took her to a friends house so she wouldnâ??t be home alone. I got back home around 2:30 and sat down and watched TV. Time flew by and before I knew it it was 3. The doorbell rang. I went to go answer it.
Me: Hey Michael.
Michael: Hey.
Me: You didnâ??t come early.
Michael: I decided not to.
Me: Oh you could of. I was bored.
Michael: Well then letâ??s go.
I quickly grabbed a jacket and then walked to the limo with Michael. Michael opened the door for me and I got inside. He got in a sat down. We headed of to somewhere.
Me: I didnâ??t need to dress fancy did I?
Michael: No. We are gonna go eat somewhere not fancy and then go to a movie. Then we will just hang out at my house.
Me: Cool. Sounds like fun.
Me and Mike headed of to eat. We ate at this really cute restaurant. It was amazing. Then we headed of to the movies. Or at least that was what I thought..
