Me and michael - together forever pt. 2

It was finally time for the party, and i was feeling pretty excited. I came downstairs casually, not noticing mum grinning at me. 'ooh, look at you! The boys will be kneeling at your feet at that party!' 'shut up, mum!' i blushed. 'seriously, honey i mean it, you look beautiful' she said smiling. 'thanks mum' i smiled back. 'well, come on! We'd better get going, or we're gonna be late!' said mum, and we rushed out the door, and down the neighbors path, to the door. God, that house is huge! I thought, comparing it to my medium, average new house. Mum knocked, and was immiediately answered by a jolly woman. 'well hi there! Our special guests have arrived!' she said smiling at us. 'and who is this beautiful young lady?' she said, looking at me. 'oh, i'm jodie. Pleased to meet you, mrs jackson!' i said in my best tone. 'well, you are pretty! So, shall we get to the party?' she said. I was expecting something very formal and dull, where we all just sit around nibbling at crackers, but i was wrong! Katherine jackson lead us to a big set of double doors at the end of the beautiful hallway, and opened the doors. 'wow!' i gasped. It was a giant room with a stage at the front, and speakers set around the room. There were 5 boys singing on the stage, they were called the jackson 5. You had only heard of them once in england, but they were quite well known here. In the room were about 100 people all dancing, laughing, chatting and eating. When we stepped in the room, everyone turned and waved, smiling. Mum had gone with katherine to be introduced to some people, so i was on my own, until a pretty girl with big brown eyes came up to me, smiling. 'hi! You must be jodie, im LaToya!' 'oh, hi! Boy, its crowded in here!' i say. She looked shocked, and then smiled. 'wow!' 'what?' i said giggling. 'your accent! I've never spoke to a british person before!' we both laughed and went to sit down. Just as we sat, jackson 5 finished singing, and one of them went up to the microphone. He was really cute, and i realised this one was the one they called michael. 'ok, i'd like to say thankyou to everyone here tonight, for coming, and i believe we have some special guests here tonight, who have only just moved here, all the way from england! So i would like you to all say hello to michelle and jodie goodwin!' eek! I thought, blushing as everyone turned to me and mum and started applauding. I waved back shyly, smiling and happy. As i turned back to the stage, i noticed the michael guy staring at me smiling, he was sooo cute! I felt someone nudging me and turned to see LaToya grinning at me. 'my bro was just totally staring at you!' 'no he wasn't! I said, giving her a playful nudge back. This progressed, and rapidly became a hilarious poking and prodding game, with us both giggling and squealing. The jacksons had got down from the stage, and were replaced by another band. Soon the crowd started dancing again, and me and LaToya chatted again. I really liked her, and we had a lot in common. I had a friend! After a while of chatting, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned round and saw the really tall one from the jacksons smiling at me. 'hello, newbie!' 'oh, hi! Are you jackie?' 'yeah, and these are my brothers' he pointed to each one. 'this is tito, marlon, randy, and this is michael' he said. 'oh hi! I'm pleased to meet you!' i said, smiling at them, they all smiled back. Especially the cutie. we all sat down together and chatted. And then marlon said 'haha wow, latoya finally has a friend! Hahaha' 'shut UP, marlon!' she said, embarassed. 'hey, you stop that, meanie!' i said, prodding him and laughing. LaToya smiled gratefully, and michael was smiling at me too. He was shy. After a while, marlon, Jackie, randy and tito got up and went somewhere else, so it was just me, michael and Latoya. 'hey, jodie im just going to the bathroom' she said and got up. I felt nervous, i knew what she was doing, leaving me and michael alone, matchmaking.
