(Part 4)

Michael just found out I was going bck to New York for college

Michael: Don't worry about it
Me: I have to. I have to go to college. With these grades, I mean we both skipped the 11th grade and we're seniors.

Michael:I'll write you while you're in college and on breaks you can come down here.
Me:Ok, then I'll write you every week
Michael:Same

I left for college in the Fall. Michael and I started writng for the first 4 months. Then the letters just stopped. I was always on tv about basketball and I lead my team to the championship every year. Before I knew it 7 years went by and it was 1982. I had a corprate job and I moved back to L.A. to expand my company.

One day I went to the store. I was with my nephew (brothers son)
He was 8 months. I was in the store paying for something when I dropped my credit card.

Man: I think you dropped this
Me:Thanks.(I look up at the sale clerk and realize that she is wearing a name tag that says Ava Mitchell)
Me: Ava? Ava Mitchell?
Ava: MS. Anderson. as in the one from columbia. HEY!!!!
Me: Hi! how are you
Ava:Could be better(looking around)
Me:I have a position open at work for secrataries
Ava: I'll be there

Man who was behind me: You look familiar
Me:You dont Im sorry (It was Michael in a disguise)
Man:Im almost checked out can I tlk to you for a min.
Me:Sure?...
Man:Takes off glasses( I realize it's Michael)
Me: Mic... Duke!!
Michael: Thanks. Aidrenne nice to see you.
Me: (Hugs him) I've missed you
Michael:you too. Is that baby yours.
Me:NO!! It's my nephew, my brother's son
Michael: would you like to come by the house my family is having a party and they would LOVE to see you again.
Me: Sure! but I want to suprise them so don't tell them who it is.
Michael:Ok when can you be over.
Me: about 3:30
Michael: great! see you at the house

I drop off my nephew at my brother's house which is 15 min. from the store. I call Michael and let him know I'm at the gate.
He walks me in and it reminds me of when I first came in. Duke is older but he walks up to me this time and I pet him like before.

Katherine: Michael who is that with you
Michael: she's coming in the kitchen
Katherine: and who is this pretty woman
Me: You know me Mrs. Jackson you may not remember but you know me. Guess
Katherine: Drey...?
Me: Yep!
Katherine: How are you! I saw you on tv I watched almost all your games
Me: those were the good ol' days
Katherine: Well have a seat
Me: Thank You.
Michael:The rest of my family is outside
Katherine:I'll help you get them. You stay right here.
Me:(I nod)

Michael and Katherine go get the rest of the family. I just sit there with Duke.Until they walk in.

Michael tells his siblings open your eyes. They don't recognize me so the are trying to guess who knows me from where. Then I walk over to them:
Me: That's sad. I went to high school with you Marlon, for 2 years. It's only been 7 years.
Janet: Aidrenne...?
Me:(nodding) Yep!

The whole family is suprised and happy to see me. I don't see Joe (never have).

I sit through all the questions. It got late and Michael walked me to my car:
Me: It was really great seeing you again.
Michael: Yeah you too. How long will you be in town
Me: Michael I live here now I moved back to expand business
Michael:(smiling) Great would you like to go to dinner with me on Fri. at 7
Me: sure! see you fri.
