Me and Michael : Kids in love. (Part 1)
(Part 1) The year was 1970 and I'm olny 12 years old.My name is Melodie Delila Ryan.My family moved to Encino,California because my father is a bisness man and his job transfered him.I was very excited because we were going to move into a house that was one street away from the Encino Family Compound which was also know as Hayvenhurst.The reasone as to why I was excited was because that was were the Jackson's lived.I had always been a huge fan of the Jackson 5 ever since I heard there first record Big Boy on the radio. It was a beaufiful Spring day in Riverdale,Gorgia.It was also 1 day befor we were moving.We had to get everything packed.My father had already had all of our furniture taken out there and kept in a storage unit until we got there so we really just had to pack all of our cloths and other simple items.When I was done packing all of my stuff into suitcases I went down staries to see how my mother and father were doing. Me:(coming dow the stairs)Mom,Dad! Both:Yes? It sounded like they were both in the kitchen so I walked to that area and seen them. Me:Hi.Are the both os you done with all of your stuff? Mom:Yes sweetie we'er done. Dad:Are you? Me:Yep.Just finished. Mom:Are you ready for tomorrow? Dad:Its going to be a long ride.It will take us around 31 or 32 houres to get there.So we will be in the car for about 1 1/2 days. Me:I'm ready.I'm just so exited to get there! Mom:Your just ready to see Michael aren't you? My mother knew I had a crush on Michael.My dad didn't want me liking and boys because you know how fathers are about there little girls...they still think there little! Me:(smiles)No... Dad:That better not be the reason. Mom:Its only a crush. Dad:But thats my little girl.She's not allower to like body yet. Mom:Then when can she start? Dad:When she's 30,no 40...maybe even 50.Thats if I let her. Me:Dad! Dad:(laughs)I'm only kidding.I still don't want you liking boys though. My mother waited till my father left the room. Mom:Don't mind your father.You can like and be excited about Michael.Your dad is just upset that your not his little girl anymore. Me:(smiles)Thanks mommy. Mom:Your welcome.(smiles)Oh I almost forgot to tell you! My dad came back into the kitchen. Dad:Almost forgot to tell her what? Mom:About her new school. Dad:Oh!Thats right. Me:(excited to know)What!? Mom:Well(smiles excidedly)your going to a private school! Me:(looking sad)What so special about that? Mom:Wait I was getting to the good part.Your not just going to any ol' private school...(yells happily)Your going to the same school as Michael Jackson! Me:(yells at the top of my lungs)Really!?Oh my gosh!I can't beleive it!Thanks mom! Mom:Don't thank me.Thank your father.He's the one who called the school to have you put in. Me:(runs over to my father and squeezes him)Thank you so much daddy! Dad:(smiles and laughs)Your welcome sweetheart.Not could you let go.I can't breath. Me:(lets go of my dad)Oh sorry. Dad:Its ok. Mom:Well its getting a little late so come on everyone.Dinner is ready and we have to get some sleep.Tomorrow is a big day and we have to get up early. Me and my dad:Ok. We all ate dinner together.After dinner was over I went upstaries to wash up and get ready for bed.My bed was gone because it was taken out to our new house with my parents house to so I slept on my floor in my sleeping bag.I'm glad it was only for tonight though because the floor was hard.While I was laying down I coulden't fall asleep.I kept thinking about Michael all night long.When I final fell asleep it was at 3am.I had to get up at 7am so I only got about 4 hours of sleep.when my mother came to wake me I was so tired but I got anyway. Mom:(shaking me gently)Wake up sweetie.We have to get ready to go. Me:(half awake and half asleep)Ok mom. I got up and washed up.I splashed my face with hot water to really wake me up.When I was done washing up and was getting dressed I went down staries to my mom and dad.They were in the front yeard with all of there stuff and mine already in the car. Dad:Well say good-bye to the house.This is the last time we will ever see it again.Melodie can you lock the door.We have to get a move on right now if we want everything to go as planned. I locked the door as my dad told me to and got into the back seat of the car next to some of the suitcases and got ready for a long trip.After I was in my father and mother got the car to.They were talking about who is going to drive. Dad;Ok so I'll drive the first 10 miles the you can drive the next 10 miles.When your done I'll drive againg and finish up the rest of the trip. Mom:Ok dear.Melodie are you ready. Me:Yes. Dad:Ok lets go! We set our on our long trip.Some where in the middle of it I fell back asleep.I was asleep for about 7 hours and it was now 1pm.My dad woke me because we were going to have dinner.We stopped at this nice resterant.After we ate we were back on the rode.I was staring out my window looking at all the passing cars on the highway then my mother turned on the radio.The Jackson 5's song ABC came on.I automaticly started to sing with it.I was in my own little world so I didn't know my parents were listening to me.When the song was over they both looked back at me a giggled at little bit.I got a bit shy and embarassed.After about 3 more hours it was my mom's turn to drive so we pulled over and she took the drivers seat while my father took at nap.It was funny how he would snor.My dad took a long nap to.He was asleep for 8 hours.I fell asleep and to my surprise when my parents woke me up we were already at our new house in Encino.I got out the car and ran through our new house.It was so big and beautiful.My room was huge and it had a small balconey that you could walk out and sit on.I was so happy.While I was on my balconey my mom walked in. Mom:How do you like the new house? Me:I love it! Mom:Me to.Well the people from the storage place are here and ther are going to be moving our stuff in so why don't we walk around and see our new neighborhood and let your father and the other men work? Me:Ok Me and my mom walk out the house. Me:Daddy! Dad:Yes? Me:Me and mom are going to walk around. Dad:Ok be careful you 2. Me:We will. Mom:Be back later. Me and my mother walked all the way around until we reached Michael's house.I stopped in front of the gates which were closed and stared down the long drive way.I was inn shock.I coulden't beleive that on the inside of that house was Michael.After my mother got my atintion back we headed on home.When we were home I look around and everything was almost set up. Me:Mom? Mom:Yes dear? Me:When will I start school? Mom:On Monday.(smiles) Me:(smiles)Tomorrow!? Mom:Yes.(smiles) Me:What about all of my school supplies? Mom:Your dad and I already got them. Me:Really? Mom:Yes. Me:What time is it? Mom:Its late.We need to eat and go to bed.You have to get up at 7am and be at your school by 7:30. Me:Aw. We went inside and ate.Then I went and took a bath and got ready for bed.I didn't sleep at all.I was so tired in the morning. To Be Continued...
