Hi, my name is Monique Rayne. I'm 21 and, this is my story. I was born November 15, 1958. I lived in Gary, Indiana with my two sisters and my aunt. You see, my mom was never there for me... I never really knew her and my father passed on when I was 3. I miss him. Anyways, I had a good thing going for me growing up. I was an "A" student, nice, gifted, talented, beautiful but somehow I ended up here... in rehab. Let me start from the beginning so you guys can understand better. ~ August 1, 1973~ It's the summer time and I'm ready to get out and have some fun! Summer's about to come to an end so I'm trying to have as much fun as possible which shouldn't be hard to do since I have many friends. My best friends are Maria, Brittany, and Michael. Mike and I have been friends since like birth. I just met Maria and Brittany 3 years ago but we're like sisters now. It's 12 p.m. and I'm headed over to Mike's house to see if he wants to hang out . He only lives a couple houses down away from me. I knocked on the door and Katherine answered. Me: Hello Ms. Jackson Katherine: Remember, you can call me Katie hun. *she smiled* How are you? You looking for Mike? Me: I'm great, and yes. I wanted to know if he'd like to go hang out for a while. Katie: Wait, right here. He's with his brothers in the back so I'll go get him. Me: Ok, thanks. I waited a few minutes and finally Mike came out. Mike: Hey, wassup Mo? Me: You wanna hang out for a while? Mike: Nope I wanna chill with the bros. Me: But- Mike: Gotcha! Of course I wanna chill with my Mo-Bear *smiling* Me: Yeah, you better! Mike: Or what? Me: I would've had to do this *I smacked the back of his head and ran down the street* Mike: *running after me* Ooo I'm so gonna get you for that! Katie: *shouting to Mike* Be home before the street lights come on Michael! Mike: *still running* I will mother! As I was running , I looked back to see Michael getting closer. I ran faster but apparently I ran a little too fast because as soon as I turned around I ran right into a girl. As I was getting up I got a good look at who it was . Samantha, my worst enemy. Samantha: *getting up* Watch where you're going ! Me: Sorry. No need to get an attitude. Samantha: What do you mean?? You could've seriously hurt me ! Aren't you guys a little too old to be playing tag? *eyeing me and mike* I looked over at Michael who was trying to hold in laughs . Me: Nope, not really but we weren't playing tag. Samantha: I really don't care what you were playing . You just messed up my new outfit . Thanks a lot. Me: You're welcome. I flashed her a smile just to annoy her and it worked . She walked away mumbling about "who-knows-what". Mike: *bursts out laughing* Me: What's so funny? Mike: *in between laughs* You should've seen how you ran into her! That was funny! Me: Shut up! That really hurt. *giggling* Mike: So where should we hang out at ? Me: Well, I was thinking we could go to the park . Mike: Ok . We ran to the park and there, sitting on a swing, was Maria. She looked pretty sad. Me and Mike walked over to her. Me: Hey Maria , you ok? Maria: *shrugs* Sure. Mike: Oh really? That didn't sound too convincing to me. Me: What's wrong? Maria: Just had a little argument with Derrick. Derrick is Maria's on and off boyfriend . Me: Again? Maria: Yes. I've been hearing that he was cheating on me with Jessica Stevens so I asked him about it and he got all defensive and that's when it happened. Mike: What happened? Maria: He left me. Just sitting here to cry my eyes out. Me: Aww, you'll be fine. Don't worry, he'll come back. Mike: *rolls his eyes* Look, what I think you should do is -- Me: *I gave Michael a look* Mike: I think you should-- umm, stop crying and be happy-- yeah that's it! Maria: *giving him an odd look* Me: *shaking my head* Well let's stop all the dramatics and have some fun! Mike: Ok! We all split up and ran to the different equipments in the park. We had so much fun ! We played for a couple hours but Maria had to go to get prepared for school which started in a couple days . It was now just Mike and I. Hope you liked this . ~ Momo xoxo
