Genie in a Vase I
I sat at home a little bored. I live alone and it's not very comforting. I heard the news a little while ago about Michael Jackson. It makes me wonder who he really was. The media made him out to be weird and recluse. But, I don't believe that. Suddenly, I seen a strange vase across the room. I walk over to it slowly, it has a to and from tag. It says it's for me. From my late grandmother. There's a little note, too. "Use when you're are ready" Use? It's a dam vase. I don't buy flowers. Under the tag I see an engraving. I move the tag and start rubbing the dust off. "Xionara?" I hear a loud noise come from the vase. I jump and drop it. It hovers above the floor, releasing purple smoke. A woman's head flows out. Oh hell no. This is nuts. "You called for me?," she asks. "No. No the hell I didn't." "I'm Xionara. A genie. You rubbed my vase" "Don't genies come in bottles and lamps?" "Shut up. I couldn't afford a lamp" I step away from the vase. She comes all the way out wearing crazy genie clothes. I frown, how long has this vase been here? I might as well take advantage. "So I get 3 wishes?" "Where'd you hear that? Three is not enough. I'll give you 5" "And ANYTHING I want to wish for?" "Yes. Except all the money in the world, more wishes and I think you know what you can't wish for." After a moment of me thinking she speaks again. "You must be very specific. I have a habit of messing things up" "How do I know you're a REAL genie?" "I just flowed out of a lamp" I laugh. "True" "I wish...." "You wish?" "I wish I could know the real Michael Jackson." "More specific" "I want to know him like personally. Not the media Michael Jackson" "Alright hopefully I'll get this one right" I frown. I don't know what to expect but I know it's something strange.
