I'm not bad?," Michael asks incredulously. "Then who's bad? If I'm 
not bad, who is?"

"I am!," Yolanda yells. "I'm bad. I haven't changed into some Richie 
Cunningham and I ain't went to no white ass school and forgot where 
I came from."

"I go to a 'white' school, because I don't want a city job! I want 
to make money without hustlin' and dealing."

"Aint nothin wrong wit a city job," Yolanda says, grabbing her 
backpack and walking away.

"Where you going, Londa?," Pick asks.

"Home," she says still walking.

Pick, Wesley, and Dwayne all look at Michael and shake their heads.

"You fucked up, man," Wesley said, getting up and heading home.  
It's late anyways.

_Later that day_

Yolanda sat in her apartment that she and her mom lived in looking 
through a school catalogue. She was thinking about going back to 
high school. She probably wasn't though. Then she heard a knock on 
the door.
"Ma! I got the door!," she yelled.

She ran to open the door and when she opened it she wanted to close 
it. It was Michael.

"Ah hells naw," she said. "You think you can come ova here after 
that?"

"I'm sorry. There isn't anything wrong with a city job but I don't 
want one," Michael said.

"Who is it?," Yolanda's mom yelled in the background.

"No one," she yelled back. "Look I gotta go. You need to take yo ass 
home," she said to Michael and closed the door. He stopped it.

"Why are you so mad about this?," he asked.

"Because I am. Now get out of the dam door," Yolanda said getting 
mad.

"Girl I said who's at the dam door!," Yolanda's mom said while 
approaching the door and swinging it open. She smiled.

"Michael. You're back from your school thing?," her mom asked. 
Before he could answer, Yolanda's mom swung the door open and 
invited him inside the apartment.

"Forreal mom?," Yolanda says.

"Shut up girl. Don't be rude," her mom says.

Yolanda went into her room and slammed the door. Her mom just let 
that Richie Cunningham ass booshie boy into their apartment after 
she almost smoked him. She wasn't staying  to talk.
