Just A Thought_Part 1
Kimaya Kinnock and Michael Jackson have been best friends for a matter of years. It's never occurred to them until Jackie and Janet bring it to their attentions. Now is it going to be weird to stay friends or will it spark something good? __________________________________________________________________ 1974 My parents are going out of town for a while and I get to stay with the Jacksons!!!! As in the Jackson 5 family, yes I'm cool, I know. Mrs.Jackson agreed to let me stay until they get back. But the last time I stayed at the Jackson's house and my parents left my dad didn't come back....Anyways, WOO HOO THE JACKSON'S HOUSE!!! Get to be with Michael. And Janet, of course. My house is right by theirs so I'll just lock up and walk over. My mom left me a key to our house just in case. I have no idea what could go wrong! I struggle with two big bags and as one drops someone catches it. It's Marlon. He's always been sweet on me since one game of truth or dare. It was eye-rolling fun!! Note the sarcasm. Well Marlon's not all that bad but I just don't see him in that light. I don't see anyone really. I never really thought about it... "Thanks," I say to Marlon weirdly. "Anytime," he states smugly grabbing the other bag in my hand. I could use this to my advantage :) "So, where's Mike?," I ask causally. "Oh..he's at home..," he says back...dissapointedly? "Thanks again for taking those bags Marlon," I cringe before I continue, "such a strong man." I stifle hysterical laughter as he looks all smug and happy. I lock the door and we stroll on over to the Jacksons'. "Maya!!!," Janet screams before attacking me in a hug. "Hey J!!" "We're gonna have so much fun tonight!!" I laugh and follow her up the stairs with Marlon struggling behind us. I grab one of my bags from him and continue up the stairs. "You can sleep with me or LaToya and Rebbie.." Janet says before entering her room. I smile giving her a look that says 'you already know'. Marlon sets my bag in Janet's room and gives me a wink. I look at Janet and she starts laughing loudly. "Where's Michael?," I ask, worriedly. He'd have usually been around the house or even have walked to mine to help me bring my stuff over. "Oh you know...Joe and stuff," Janet says shyly. "Oh," I say, realizing what she meant. "So just give it a little time...but what do you wanna do? Wanna swim, play some games-" "SWIM!!!," I say excitedly. -Swimming!- After Janet and I get on swimsuits and sunscreen, we grab towels and head outside in the back. We're both surprised to see Michael in the pool. The side of the pool is bloody.. He's just sitting on the stairs limply splashing his feet. "Mike?," Janet and I say in unison. He looks over and his nose is purple. I frown and set my towel down. I walk over the side of the pool and sit down near the stairs. "Hey Mike.." "Hi" "You gonna swim or what?" "I might." There's a silence. Then all of a sudden someone pushes Janet in the pool and jumps in theirself. LaToya and Rebbie come out ready to swim. After they surface, I see it was Jackie who jumped in the pool. Janet comes up, angry. Jackie screams and swims away. I look at Michael, who seems to be smiling. I sit on the stairs next to him. Then Marlon, Jermaine, Randy and Tito run outside jumping into the pool. After a while everyone's having some fun. Michael's halfway there. He just needs a little push. Everyone gets out of the pool. Michael is standing right by the edge of the pool. He's facing away from the pool. So I run up to him and hug him tightly. I yell "Hold your breath!" Before some pushes me in. I was holding onto Michael so he's in the water, too. He comes up and yells, "Who did that?!?!" Everyone out of the pool points at Randy. He shakes his head frantically. Michael practically launches out of the pool and grabs Randy's leg. He throws Randy in. I'm laughing hysterically. I stop abruptly when I see Tito and Jackie running towards the pool, ready to jump in. I go under water. Then come back up laughing more. I hear a loud scream, a blood-curdling scream. From LaToya. That's just my cue to laugh even harder. "MY HAIR!!," she screams. Rebbie laughs and gets a cold water bottle poured on her head. She looks at LaToya angrily. Marlon and Jermaine push LaToya and Rebbie in the pool at the same and now I can't breathe I'm laughing so hard. I had to get out of the pool. This is why I love coming to the Jackson's house.
