Michael and the Great Depression Part 4

Michael and I didn't have anywhere to go so we just walked out and about.As we 
where walking there where old men on the streets loitering.It made me want to tell 
Michael that we should so that but I didn't want him to think that I was using him.

Me:Mike;should we ask someone what CCC camp is.
Michael:Yeah but who should be ask.
Me:Um,maybe we should ask someone who's on their way there.
Michael:Over there.-pointing-He seems Like he's living on the streets too.

Michael and I walked over there.When the teenager turned around it looked like he 
had a bullet mark on his face.It made me jitter a little bit.Then he said:

???:Do y'all want something from me.I don't gat no money so don't even ask.
Michael:No.We just wanna know where CCC camp is.
???:You have to go to Hooverville.By the way....the name's Andre.
Me:Hooverville?Where's that?
Andre:There's a freight train coming to the jungle down the road in the morning 
that'll take you there.But you have to be careful because the police are gonna try 
and make you miss the train.You have to sneak on somehow.
Michael:What do the police do to try to make you miss the train.
Andre:They only try to make the black kids miss the train.They'll shoot you,hit you 
with that stick thingy majigger(I forget what it's called)Then they'll hand cuff you and 
keep you in jail for life.

Michael saw how scared I was from my facial expression.He held my hand to try 
and comfort me and Andre spotted his hand traveling to mine.Andre then hand a 
sly smile on his face.

Me: -raises an eyebrow- Um,you okay?Why you smilin' ?
Andre:Nothing.It just reminds me of how I would hold my girlfriends hand whenever 
she was scared then she would hug me.
Michael:Well what happened to her?
Andre:The police shot her because we where trying to sneak on a train.I tried to 
block the bullet from her heart but before I could,they shot me in my face as you 
can see.Then I fell to the groin holding my face and when I wasn't looking they shot 
her. -starting to cry a little-
Me:Whoa,the police are THAT dangerous?
Andre:Yes.But if y'all love each other enough,then no police officer can defeat you.

That made Michael smile from ear to ear.I guess he came up with a plan or 
something.I wonder what he's up to.....

Sorry this part's kinda short but I have to go to bed soon so......BYEEEE!!!!!-A'Niya
