A Daughter's Love -3-
Next Morning I woke up because I was smelling waffles. I like waffles! I just like to eat. While I was walking down the hallway, I passed my dad's room. He was sniffling. Was he crying again? Me:(knocking on the door) Dad? Dad: Yes? Me: Are you okay? Dad: Im okay. Go downstairs and I'll be down in a minute. What's wrong with him? He was crying yesterday and now he's crying today. It's not even 10 o clock yet! I decided to just leave it alone and brush my teeth. I hated the taste of morning breath! I finally got downstairs, getting closer to my waffles! Grandma Katy: Good Morning Aily Janet: Hey Pocahuntas (my other nickname) Me: ¡Buenos Dias Mi Familia! Grandma Katy: (handing me my waffles) Here ya go Me: Thank You! Janet: Where's Mike? Me: He's still in his room...I think he's crying. Grandma Katy: What's wrong with him? Me: I have no clue Dad's PV These last two days have been nothing but an emotional rollercoaster ride for me. Yesterday was the 7th anniversary of Gabby's death. This day always brings me to tears, especially when I look at Ailynn. She reminds me so much of Gabby, sometimes making it too hard to even look at her. Last night, when Ailynn asked me that question, I felt like I didn't know how to answer that without breaking down and crying, so I just walked out. I stayed up all night watching old videos and looking at pictures of Gabby. My favorite one was when Gabby was 3 months pregnant with Ailynn, going through her first ultrasound appointment. Flashback Gabby: Mike...are you ready with the camera? Me Give me a sec...Okay I'm ready Doctor: Okay Ms.Mendez this is going to be a little cold Gabby started to shiver a little, causing me to laugh a little bit. Doctor: Okay...Here it is. And there she was...my soon to be little girl. Even though she was tiny, she was still beautiful. Gabby: Awww...It's so tiny. I can't wait to meet him/her. Doctor: Okay, we're done here (wiping the stuff off of Gabby's stomach). I will be back with your next appointment date. Gabby: Okay We sat there in silence, mainly it's because I kept staring at her Gabby: What? Do I have something on my face? Me: No, you're perfect. You're gonna make a great mother! Gabby: You're gonna make a great father Right there...The video ended. I really missed Gabby. It's hard living like this. Sometimes I just feel like I don't even wanna leave my room and face my own daughter. It's a shame! But like I said before, she reminds me too much of Gabby. I decided to drag myself downstairs for breakfast. I heard the ladies laughing and when they saw me, it became silent. Ailynn: Hi daddy! Me: Hey sweetie Grandma Katy: You want some waffles? Me: No thank you mother. I don't really have time. I gotta get to the studio and drop off Ailynn at gymnastics. Ailynn: Speaking of that...I need to go and get ready. She got up and ran upstairs. Janet: Well I need to go to rehearsals. See y'all later Me: Bye Dunk Janet: Bye Mike Me:I need to go and get ready mother Mother: Michael, sit down I need to talk to you. Me: What's up? Mother: I know you miss Gabby. Me: Is it that obvious? Mother: So obvious to the point to where your own daughter is constantly noticing you cry. When she asked you about Gabby, you just left her standing there without a clue. Me: I'm sorry mother but you know how I get when I talk about Gabby. Mother: I know and Ailynn practically feels the same way, but sometimes you just gotta remember that she's always with you. I wanted to just break down and started crying again but I knew that I had to get over Gabby's death sometime. Maybe I should tell Ailynn more about her mother. Ailynn's PV I'm getting ready to go to gymnastics. I'm really excited, mainly because Daryll's gonna be there. I'm so excited! Oh Focus AILYNN! You have more important things to worry about...Dad. These last two days have been nothing but confusion. Why is he acting the way he's acting? It's just weird. I hope he talks while we're in the limo on the way to gymnastics. Sitting in silence makes me so uncomfortable. This is what I'm wearing: (Underneath): https://cdn2.content.compendiumblog.com/uploads/user/3610b5d4-2339-4974- 9fa2-6b400bf4f06c/17211df9-cec1-45c3-b6a1- a2d9d283050e/Image/7ee6e1e2f8525008437ff4c6d354a66a/e1731.PNG (Track Suit): http://img.b2bage.com/photo/product44/1732895/big-girls-track-suit.jpg Dad: Ailynn...If you don't wanna be late, we need to go! Me: I'm coming! It's time! I need to talk to my dad before I go anywhere. I ran down the stairs Me: Ready! Dad: Let's go Me: Okay...Bye Grandma Grandma: Bye Sweetheart! I ran out to the limo, mainly it's because I was trying to catch up with dad. Dad: You ready? Me: Im always ready. Dad: Okay...Bill you know the way to go. After sitting in the limo for 5 minutes... It was nothing but complete silence. Me: Dad? Dad: Yes Aily? Me: I really need to talk to you Dad: About what? Me: About mom... There it was...that putrid sound of what's going on on the outside. I hated the silence. I had to snap him out of it. Me: Dad!?! Dad: Aily why do you keep bringing up this subject? Me: Because yesterday was marked as the 7th year. I have gone completely 7 years not really knowing about her. Lets not forget that she died when I was 5 years old. Dad: We're here. Me: That's all you ever do. You run away from this, but when it comes to your job you're always there! I'm just trying to get some more information about my mother. Dad: Ailynn! Just go! Me: Fine! I got out the limo and slammed the door. He was so aggravating! Why is he acting like this? I just can't wait till I'm 18 so I can- ???: Hey Ailynn To Be Continued
