Human Nature 1

>> Stephanie here. Now, I know me and Tori left this site. I know. It was stupid. But I am back and ready to start fresh with a new story! <<

One rainy Monday in March, I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock. I groaned.

“Time for school, Nicole!” Mom exclaimed.

“Coming, Mom!” I yelled.

Stretching, I got out of bed. I changed out of my purple pajama bottoms and spaghetti striped purple shirt and put on my school clothes.

Something simple. A black shirt that said “Chicago Babe” on the front in a 3D font type, some white shorts and black high heeled boots.

I checked myself in the mirror. I looked good. I just had to fix my golden brown straight hair.

I skipped downstairs, and into the kitchen. Sitting at the table was my Mom, my 24 year old sister, Tori and her fiancÃ©e, Steven.

“Hey Steven! Welcome back to Chicago! How was your trip?” I ran up to him to give him a hug.

“Hey there, kiddo. Trip was fine. How have you been?” he asked, pulling away.

“Great!” I grinned.

“Pancakes, Nikki?” Mom asked.

I nodded. “Blueberry pancakes?”

“No, Chocolate Chip, actually.”

“Perfect then!” I sang.

I ran back upstairs to fix my hair. When I was done, I applied a tiny bit of lip gloss on my lips. I smiled at my reflection.

Once I finished my breakfast, I brushed my white, straight teeth, grabbed my backpack and headed out the door.

I stopped on the sidewalk and headed for my best friend, Janet's house. Knocking on the door, I took a deep breath.

When the door opened, Michael Jackson stepped out, leaving me in shock. Why is he in Janet's house?
