Show Me What Love Feels Like Ch. 19
Sorry this was late. Happy birthday, MJ!! Enjoy!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- *Recall: After arriving at Michael's condo in Los Angeles, an old friend of Misty's informs her that her and Michael's actions were caught by the paparazzi. My hands were drenched with tears as the tears couldn't help but flow. I ignored the fact that Tyra was on the other end of the phone; I was too devastated to talk at that point. I was heartbroken. I was now part of a public scandal, and now I was a media target. And I knew for sure that the whole world would judge me or even hate me. I also knew for a fact that Lisa would now know of my affair with Michael, and that her suspici- ons were confirmed. From there, my face would be recognized to the whole world, and that my life would never be the same... .............. Months had passed at it was December of 1995. The whole scandal between Michael and I had never faded from the public and it even worsened. My whole identity was still a secret from the media world, but they didn't stop searching for any information that there was about me. But eventually they succeeded. From some source of information, they had discovered my name and my age, and I believe that the person who provided them with this information was in fact Lisa Marie. My name and my age was in every spread of every magazine and it was said at least once in every entertainment news show, and it was always mentioned in radio, but the media wanted more infor- mation. They couldn't find any more, so they decided to keep the scandal strong by fabricating stories about Michael and I. Michael and I still resided at his condo, while he and Lisa suggested in divorce. Meanwhile, I didn't even step a foot outside in fear that the paparazzi would hound me. I was quickly becoming a recluse. I became a completely different person in only a short period of six months. I shortly became depressed as a result of the isolation and the despair. Michael tried many times to help me through the depression, but in re- ality the depression became worse... "Misty, honey," Michael said as he walked over to the couch as I laid in sweatpants and a grubby t-shirt, with a blanket over me, and a box of tissues near me, while I cried to soap operas, "Honey, can you get up for me?" "Leave me alone," I said as I blew my nose loudly with a tissue. "Oh, Misty," Michael sighed as he took a seat next to me, "You- 've been crying all day every day this week. How about we just snuggle together like we used to, and just eat junk food and watch Peter Pan? Or better yet, let's go the mall." "I don't wanna," I said sluggishly as I scooted away from him, still focused onto the soap operas on television. Michael then took the remote that laid on my lap and turned the television off. "What did you do that for?" I shouted, on the verge into more tears. "Misty, I'm not just going to sit here and let you get more and more depressed. You're gonna come with me and we're gonna have some fun today." "What's the use?" I said turning my back at him, not wanting to look at him. "Misty, honey, I hate seeing you like this. You're not the same Misty I fell in love with." I still had my back turned to him with my head hanging down. He walked over to the closed blinds and opened them, letting the bright California sunlight come through. The room was dark and depressed, like my mood, but then the room turned happy and bright. The happy bright sunshine and the blue sky was what I hadn't seen in a long time. I slowly looked up at the sky in admiration and in a new light of hope. "It's a beautiful day, isn't it?" Michael said with a smile. "Y-Yeah, I guess so." "It's the perfect day to get out of this house for a while," Michael said with an even wider smile, "Come on. Let's make the best of it." Michael walked over to the couch in my direction and kissed me slowly. I took his word and decided to clean myself up. I exchanged my sweatpants for a blue jean skirt and my t-shirt for a plaid top. I decided to let my hair down and added a little life and beauty to my face with a little makeup. Michael was waiting for me to finish so we could head to the mall. "You look beautiful, honey," he said with a smile. "There's the Misty that I've always known." From there we had spent the whole day together, causing more media attention, since I wasn't in a disguise. But suprisingly, I didn't feel as depressed as I did at home. I felt happier again, like the old Misty. ...... TBC This chapter was really boring and I hate it but I don't have any ideas at all, so I may cut this short. But anyway, vote!
