Show Me What Love Feels Like Ch. 4
Enjoy!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- ***Recall: Misty Ravens is just seen and confronted by Michael's wife, Lisa Marie Presley.*** **Still in Misty's Point of View** My body froze. I didn't know what to say, nor did I know what to do. Her face was intimidating. She was a pretty woman, but she just showed an intimidating nature about her. Her face was scowly. Her eyes looked cold. Her eyes burned as they were pierced into my soul. "Uh..uh.." Just as she was going to respond, to my rescue, Michael arrived. "Oh, hi, honey," he said nervously, yet warmfully as he leaned in to kiss her on the cheek, but she backed away. "Michael, who's this," she questioned with her arms crossed. Michael had his head in the ground's direction as if he was afraid to answer. "Answer me, Michael," she said as she slapped him on the should- er, even more pissed off then previously. "Lisa, please..." "No, I wanna know," she replied with her voice raised, "Who is this? Why is she here?" she said pointing at me. She began to yell. It was uncomfortable to be in the middle of an argument. "Lisa, calm down, she's a friend." "But why is she here, Michael? Can you answer me clearly for once?" "She is a friend that needed help. She doesn't have a place to stay and I wanted to help her out." "But why didn't you consult this with me at frist?" I stood, hearing them eventually argue. I didn't say a word. I was just too intimidated to speak. "You know what? If you care more about being a good samaritan than being a good husband and father, then I'm out!" Lisa shouted, storming off. Michael was left looking back at her as she walked out of his distance. He then looked at me. I had my head onto the ground, ashamed. "I'm sorry," I said. "I'm sorry that caused you guys to argue. It's my fault." "No, Misty. Don't worry about her. That's the kind of person she is. She'll get over it quickly, trust me. And besides, it is not your fault." I said, shaking my head, "Maybe I should just leave if she doesn't want me here." "Misty, you don't have to do that. Like you said, this is my house, so I make the rules...and I say that you can stay here. Ok?" I slowly nodded my head. "Now," Michael began with a smile, "I want to show you around Neverland. Look in your clothes drawer and pick out whatever you wanna wear. I'll meet you in the kitchen." "ok," I said, smiling back as I watched him close the door, smiling his beautiful smile. Michael was so beautiful and so sweet to me. You didn't meet people like this everyday. I was lucky to have him take me in and to comfort me that night. Out of all of the clothes in the drawer, I picked out a green plaid blouse underneath a gray tank top and some light colored jeans and a pair of sneakers, (90s look) and then walked out of the bedroom door to meet Michael in the kitchen. "Hi," I said as I approached him. "Hi," he said back with a small smile. "Ready to go?" "Yes, definitely." "Ok. Come on." We exited throughout the back door of his kitchen and from there we walked through the stone walkway that split the garden and to the carousel. It was amazing to see that place in the nighttime and with all of the lights and the magical atmosphere. "Here is the carousel. It is one of my favorites. Wanna ride?" "Sure," I said giggling. "I'll race ya there," Michael said. "Whoever gets to the pink and purple horse wins." " Bring it on. I'm sure I will beat you." "Oh, yeah? We'll see about that. 3..2..1..go!!" I ran as fast as I could and as we predicted, I won the race. "Haha, I get the pretty pink horse!" I teased him. "You get the ugly blue horse!" "You meanie," Michael said sticking his tongue out at me while I stuck mine out at him back. We rode the carousel, having the greatest time. Michael kept laughing at me as he saw me yelp and holler every time the horse I was riding went down. "Are you seriously screaming right now?" "Hey. I'm not good with merry-go-rounds," I said, giggling as he smiled at me. Michael was a big kid. He had the body of an adult male but the mind of an eight year old. I loved that. As we continued our tour of Neverland, I was turning into a child myself. It was something that I had never felt before in my life. Well, since I never really had a chance to be a child with the hard life situations that I had endured. Being at Neverland compensated for that. I think that Michael might've had the same issues that I had as a child; he never had a chance to just enjoy being a kid. After the carousel, Michael and I traveled and made our way all throughout the park. My favorite place was the zoo, where I got to see, touch, and even feed the many exotic animals that lived there. I met an elephant named Gypsy, which Michael gotten as a gift from his best friend, actress Elizabeth Taylor. I also met Bubbles the Chimp, who was roaming at the zoo on that particular evening. I've always had a special connection with animals. Animals were the only source of comfort and loyalty in my life, since all of the humans in my life either left me or deceived me or hurt me. Animals were my only friends. "I love animals," Michael said as he fed Gypsy two bananas. "We have something in common, I see," I replied as I stroked Gypsy's rough, bumpy skin. "Animals were my only friends when I was growing up." Michael then looked at me. "Same here," he said with a smile. "I have a special bond with animals. I enjoy them more than people." "Wow. We have the same interests in animals, I guess." "Yeah, we do," Michael said smiling again. "You're a nice person to be around, Misty." "You too," I said softly, intensely gleaming into his eyes as he did the same with mine. Our eyes conversed passionately, but when I remembered that he had a wife, although a bitchy one, I looked away from him and focused my attention on Gypsy. After my tour of the whole ranch, we walked back to the mansion, where I had settled off to bed. I bid Michael goodnight once we entered the house, and so did he. I was too tired to change into pajamas so I climbed into bed with the clothes I was wearing. Immediately, I drifted off into a deep sleep, thinking about Michael and the moment that we had at the zoo with us eyeing each other.... The next morning, I awoken with fresh eyes as the hot California sun beamed on my face. I got out of bed and went downstairs hoping to see Michael...but I didn't. Lisa Marie was sitting on the stool, drinking a mug of coffee and gave me an evil stare as she had seen me appear...... To Be Continued..... ***What will Lisa Marie say to Misty once she sees her in the kitchen? Will Michael continue to put up with Lisa's disrespect or will he finally put his foot down in order to protect Misty? Find out on Chapter 5!!***
