By the time the girls finished their auditioning act,

Michael was left with a look on his face with disbelief as

Berry slowly clapped his hands, clearly impressed with these

teenagers.

"I hope you like it, Mr. Gordy," Marilyn said, with her fingers

trembling.

All three girls stood still like a frozen block of ice as

they waited for Berry's reaction.

"You girls....did an amazing job," Berry said.

The girls automatically felt a tingle run down their spines

as he congratulated them with the good news.

"Will you promote us?" Darcy asked restlessly, while shaking

from her head to her toes.

"Yeah, will ya?" Marilyn repeated her question, crossing her

fingers.

Berry placed his fingers on his chin and thought carefully.

Michael was anxious for his answer, similar to the girls.

"Let's just say this. How about you girls fly to Detroit next

month so you can just get a feel of Motown?"

The girls gasped and Darcy eventually fell to her knees in

tears. The Harlemettes' dream was beginning to become true.

Their lifelong goal was right in front of them. Sophia gently

gasped and softly giggled under her hand being placed on her

mouth. She looked so innocent. Michael looked at her intensely

and gave a warm smile at her innocence.

"Thank you for this opportunity," Darcy said with tears welling

her eyes.

"You are very welcome. You girls did an amazing job," Berry

said as he gave each of the girls a slip of paper. "Here is all

of the information about Detroit. Hopefully we see you there."

"Oh, for sure..we will be there," Marilyn said.
