More Than Meets The Eye - 1
:Okay, I have read quite a bit of stories on here and noticed some are pretty rushed. So, here is my attempt at a story. Wish me Luck: Los Angeles was one of those places where you can find just about any celebrity walking around, minding their own. It was a pretty busy place, to put it bluntly. And I'll be honest, it is no place for a British garage-singer. Maybe I should introduce myself. I am Alessa. I'm just turning 27 and yet for some reason people think I am still only 19. I am in a band and I am the lead singer. I only came to Los Angeles because David Guest saw my band's new music video and wanted us to record and produce it as a single. He also wanted me to meet Michael Jackson. Now, don't get me wrong, the dude is one hell of a guy and I have a great respect for him but I just know for a fact he will hate my music. It's not his thing. Do you really think Michael would want to hear me scream down a microphone? Nope, didn't think so. So here I am, 1998, in a limo, awaiting the "mighty gates of Neverland" to open. David was in the front seat, next to the driver and the band mates are around me. "Hey, do ya think we'll be famous? I mean, these people are like... Well, famous!" Jack said. "I bet we'll be as famous as the dude who did that film uuuh... what's his face?" Frank piped up. "George Clooney?" I said. "Yeaaah, that's the one!" Frank smiled. "Whatever" I said, shrugging. I sighed. The gates were finally opening and that means I can have a "kitteh-nap", as I like to say. Yes, I am immature for my age but I am proud. We pulled up at the front and none other than Michael himself was there to great us. He had a huge smile on his face when David greeted him. I just rolled my eyes, wanting to just sleep. "And these are the people I have been on about, Mike" David pointed to us as he said our names. "Frank, Jack and Alessa" Frank and Jack waved while I stood there. First impressions are NOT my thing. "Hello, I am Michael, as you know and welcome to Neverland. Make yourselves at home. You will be staying here a while" he flashed that smile... That cute, awesome - No, Alessa, no thinking like that! Focus! I raised my hand. "Yes, Alessa?" "My I take a Kitteh-Nap?" I asked. Michael raised a brow but nodded. "Cheers, mate" I patted him on the shoulder and set off on my quest to find a nice, shady, cool spot to sleep till I die. On my travels, I came across a randomly placed trampoline in the ground. I shot my head left and right, surveying the area for any unwanted visitors. When I new everything was quiet, I jumped horizontally in the air, did a few spins before finally laying on my back, crossing my legs over. I sighed as the summer breeze hit my face. Lovely jubbly. "Quiet a free-spirit, aren't you?" I head Michael say. I sighed for like, the 5th time and sat up, opening my eyes to see him set himself on the trampoline with me, laying next to me. He just stared at the sky, saying nothing while I observed him, making my judgement. "You're not normal" I blurted out. He looked at me slightly hurt, but shrugged. "A lot of people say that about me" I look away into the distance. "It's good not to be normal, to just be you. It's what separates the sheep from the wild horse" "You have a way with words" he said, still staring at the sky. "So I've been told" We sat in a comfortable silence, the only sound was the wind rustling the trees and grass. "David showed me some of your songs... They're very good. They show just how deep a heart can be" I pursed my lips. "I just write what I feel. I hate being influenced" Michael just nodded once more and the silence came over us again. I have to say, I enjoyed his company. It wasn't distant and it wasn't too close. It was just right. There's more to him than I thought, I guess. :Here is the first chapter. Next one will be up soon:
